when i try and make a case for denver w/ a write up i have to stop because there just isn't enough strong reasoning to do so. the piece turns into fluff and becomes pro NE. i really could careless how many people are the pats.

what people seem to forget that denver is pretty fortunate to make the playoffs, let alone the 1 seed.

the game plan they showed vs pitt was not that one of a confident team. it was one that teams utilize w/ a QB that they don't trust. team reminded me a lot of the nyj, rex ryan ball control offenses a few years ago w/ sanchez in the championship game. and to be fair. sanchez was even playing better than the present day manning at that time

The NFL is classified as "Entertainment" same classification as wrestling. Wrestling is real right?

I agree to some extent. The line had me puzzled -- I thought it would be closer to a PK. But clearly, the books is capping this as if it was the week 11 Pats, who were 10-0 and healthy, since their offense reverted back to that after the injuries. Honestly, there probably is "value" in the line for Denver, but that doesn't mean they will or cover. I like NE, but I was surprised by the line.

The Odds-Makers are a funny lot......So often they rely on perception.

people playing denver for one reason, since public is riding on pats. they think denver covers.

pats will only lose if refs call it one sided. otherwise it will be an easy 7+ pt victory. bol on ur denver play

I like Denver for multiple reasons:
1. They have the better Defense overall
2. It is a home game and they are getting spotted points.
3. Pats last week ran the ball 14 times for 38 yards and now go against the number Denver who leads the league in 3.32 yards per rush.
4. Denver has most interceptions in the league and Pats are a pass oriented team
5. Denvers overall turnovers per game 1.65 compared to NE 1.35
6. If you like trends Ed's ref crew is 7-0 for Manning in playoffs compared to 2-4 or something for Brady (doesn't mean much to me but just stating it)
7. Manning whether or not having a bad year still rallied his team and got them in this situation. He's one of the only other HOF proven winners like Brady and that knows what it takes
8. This is Manning's last run at a Super Bowl most likely so weathered arm or not he is still one of the most knowledgable qb's and knows how to read defenses and what to do to help his team win. Don't tell me that retiring and going out with a bang doesn't motivate you. Motivation is a huge factor in all sports.
9. Money is coming in 70%+ all week everywhere you look but yet no line is moving. Wynn moved Thursday and went right back to 3. So all line reading stats point to Denver imo
10. If your a conspiracist you would tend to think that ole Roger doesn't want to deal with Brady again and would rather have good publicity than negative publicity in this years SB
11. Last and the only reason according to some, PUBLIC PERCEPTION. Even if this were the only reason it still may be a good enough one. Perception is one of the biggest factors in NFL especially and even more so when the slate of games is only 2 and all eyes are on board. Joe public doesn't have 16 games to be confused with. Nope, just two and for the majority of all the money coming in across America on NE, well I think we all can agree what happens majority of the time in this situation, public loses. May not be the case, but statistically speaking it is more often that not.

So thats my 11 reasons that I favor Denver. Just thought I'd share to show that there are other reasons besides fading public that people could easily favor Denver in this situation. Just my opinion.

Good luck to everyone today!
