BREATHTAKING day for the markets........gap down on the qqq followed by non-stop buying....buying from everywhere from Senegal to Provo. Bullish engulfing patterns on both the qqq and the spy.

one day of indecision then BOOM, breaks throw 280....3rd times the charm............above the 20 ,50, 200 SMA....



after a SCORCHING 2017, the emerging markets have had a hard go in 2018.

bullish engulfing pattern on higher volume. Broke through BOTH the 20 SMA and 8 EMA.a crack thru $44 and she heads to fill gaps.....(keep in mind, this is a play AGAISNT the trend, caution)

im glad i sold out of my physical silver years back in that great run, I still have a few ozs in bars/coins and some old 90% but only around $100 total value. I keep thinking of getting back into the 100+ ozs, but silver has been so stagnant the past few years and now I just feel like I can keep getting it cheaper if I wait.

from post #181, the bullishing engulfing patterns noted on the SPY, QQQ, EEM have indeed blossomed. The SPY has the Jan highs in sight , no resistance. The QQQ's finishing will be fun to watch. EEM has a wall to break at $45, may not do it on the first attempt

not surprisingly earning season has been littered with companies blasting expectations (the game is heavily favouring equities, gl to those overly weighted in bonds......the debt ceiling nonsense has been vanished until Mar 2019, lol....that silly nuisance of a ceiling....@)..)


sometimes on the day of a compnay's earnings report the candlestick anatomy of the stock can give us a hint as to what may occur . With MSFT the candlestick was indifferent...with GOOG ?

they reported two days ago. ON THE DAY OF reporting a bullish engulfing pattern formed on MASSIVE volume, clear as day at 3:50 pm. .....boom, blowout earnings and a gap up the next day. .....(keep in mind, this comes with significant risk - if earnings dont make all happy, it can gap down and your stop loss will be BLOWN away) For those like me that dont play individual stocks, just hit the sector etf hard, depending on risk tolerance one can hit the 2X leveraged product.

my etrade account went active last wednesday and I got in because I knew the company's stock I was interested in was doing an earnings call today. Stock up more than 17% since I bought it 7 days ago. I missed my calling.

They are a service and I know alot of people in the industry and I know they are growing and growing and growing and kicking ass.

I should tell you, I jumped in the shallow end, did not put alot of money into it. I asked my stockbroker uncle 3 or 4 yrs ago what he knew about the stock and he said NOTHING. I told him to look into it. He never got back to me. It was like $32 at the time. Damn.

I am long Grub with some call options. I was very happy with today's action. I expect it to come down a bit after this huge day today. I will hold for a while. They definitely have the lead in the restaurant/ food delivery service. But they have to work out some kinks still.( just as all the delivery services do, Uber Eats, etc.) I went on Yelp and they had a ton more negative reviews then positive. But this type of service has huge, huge growth potential. And as I stated, Grub is the leader now.

I expect it to come down a little also. As far as the Yelp reviews, you have to realize generally speaking negative reviews tend to out weigh positive ones because as the old saying goes when someone is happy they may tell someone, when they are not happy they tell 20 people. Yes GH has some flaws but they are wayyyyy ahead of Uber Eats and the like.
