This being a war time debate put Bush on the firing line. At times I thought of what I would say and it was difficult because of the seriousness of war. Kerry had a huge advantage being a monday morning QB.

I felt Bush was 'spreaking to the people' better than Kerry....I thought Gulianni summed it up real well...

...at one point Bush was describing talking to a widow of a soldier that was killed, and I could have sworn he said "I tried to love her"...very strange the way he put that...

When he was talking about speaking with the wife of the killed soldier, he also said "I talked with her, I prayed with her...we had a laugh together".

Don't really know what he meant by that comment.

Meaning that he's pointed out mistakes. Mistakes that you implicitly have just admitted, and yet the president refused to admit them.

This is, ironically enough, coming from the man who ran under a campaign of bringing back "accountability."

Go figure.

Bush is sincere.
do you really beleive that the underlying reason for going to IRAQ was homeland security or terrorism...

or do you realize that the main reason was OIL & you are just ok with that?

I talk to a liberal and he told me he's so mad that Kerry continues to talk about Vietnam and will not commit to leaving Iraq. He is also mad that Kerry was orange 2 days ago. HAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

After 283,000+ votes on MSN.com, 69% are saying that Kerry won tonight. I don't know if you could vote more than once.

Lander,

Name one war in history where mistakes were not made.

Name one business, person, anyone that has not made a mistake.

Denying these clear-as-day mistakes is essentially lying to the American public. If lack-of-credibility is what wins your vote, then "by George" vote for Bush.

SS,

We could take all the oil from Mexico, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Venezuela with ZERO opposition. Now that we are there of course we can't allow the terrorist to take over the oil fields in Iraq. Think about it for a couple of minutes. Why doesn't the US just take over all these oil rich countries if that's the case.

Lander,

I'm sure we'd disagree on what a mistake is concerning this situation. It would be foolish to admit a mistake now to be clowned in a commercial. Any mistake made was just that a human error, which should not be used as a political prop to win an election. Kerry is not running around admiting to his mistakes.

Those lives don't matter when God is on your side. Just about
everybody knows that God is on the side of Georgie. In fact,
I think they talked about it right before the invasion. He has
a direct line.

The US could take most of the oil if that was all it's about. Ignore facts and believe the spin. Mexico has oil, easy target. Venezuela, easy. Saudi, easy. Why did we not just keep Kuwait? You see my friend no other country in the world would have freed an oil rich country like Kuwait and turned it back over to them. So when the people start up with this it's all about the oil, ask why did the US just not take Kuwaits fields and be done with it. Because the propaganda is not totally true.
