He said his name was Patrick and they didn't believe him. I don't blame them for not believing him because he said it in an odd way but they should ask for ID instead of using force.

You don't exercise them when a cop is giving you orders. You let him do his thing then address it when being questioned or in court.

You're missing the point. It doesn't matter what you've done. Follow orders. Cops make mistakes and may have the wrong guy. So what? Follow orders and be cooperative and figure it out later.

Why would I get tazed for doing what a cop tells me to do? I get it. A guy like you wants to take a stand. I understand. For me, not worth the fuss.

I'm not trying to take a stand were hitting keyboards man. I don't really agree with any of the groups trying to take a stand. I said I hope you don't get tased because you said me getting tased would teach me a lesson. Even if you getting tased would teach you a lesson I wouldn't want it to happen. I never have been questioned but I wouldn't just do what they say if I am without cause.

I guarantee 100% if the guy would have just did as the officer said, he would have walked away without being tased and received an apology from those officers. No harm and no foul. Cops thought he was someone, and it turned out he wasn't.

Could easily be solved by letting the police get control of the situation instead of escalating it. Cops were wrong by thinking he was someone else... A simple case of mistaken identity was escalated by not complying when police think you are a wanted criminal
