Americans crack me up.

The Saudis offed a guy. Big f'n deal. They had their reasons.

We off plenty of guys. We have our reasons.

What's the f'n difference?

Biden came into office publicly spitting at the Saudis using the offed a guy narrrative. About a year later Biden is begging the Saudis for oil relief. The Saudis tell him to go fuck himself. Gee. I wonder why.

Stupid Americans and stupid foreign policy shortsighted foreign policy have consequences.

Trump called this merger last July. The guy plays chess with the big boys. And he's always sitting at the head table.

I wouldn't be surprised if some of these PGA players get some kind of bonus for playing in LIV events, Maybe not the money Phil, Cameron, Koepka got , but something that would get them to play in those events. Why would PGA players play in LIV events without a bonus ? bigger purses ?

It is sickening that Saudi Arabia will control our golf in the USA.

What if they buy 5 or 6 NFL franchises, offer the owners 5x the market value, or more? Then buy 5 or 6 more? Then 5 or 6 more? And so on? They can afford it. Is that OK?

What is to stop it?

How can anyone here be in favor of this golf "merger"?

will he resign? i'm assuming yes.....not taking that Saudi cheque is he? :)
Brandy looks like he's about to cry. I'd say it's probably 50/50 he stays on. In some ways I hope he does, just so I can watch him have to do interviews with some of those LIV players.

It's very lopsided now, but I have a feeling as time goes by the pay will start to even out. Especially for these elite players. I'll be curious to see if the PGA adopts the teams competition concept that LIV has.

This is how Washington plays golf! Hope we see shotgun starts and free admission

If SA were to get into American football they would not go about it the way you describe .

They would not buy NFL teams
They would start a new league like the USFL of the 80s and offer insane contracts to high profile players to defect .

It would make no sense for them to buy NFL teams

I don’t have a problem with the merge the issue I have is the high moral ground the PGA pretended to be on making an outcast of anyone who defected from the PGA only to come around later and do the same exact thing themselves

I would add comparing the Saudi government to ours as one in the same is blatantly false.

But this coming from people that have high opinions now of Kim jong un and Vladmir Putin. Because hurrr durr Trump says they good soo hurrr durrr.

And kind of leaving out the players who actually did take a morally strong stance against by staying with PGA

Just a slap in the face

I enjoy his commentary, articulate, very knowledgeable of the game, its history , the swing. And not afraid to call it as he sees it.

This issue he just wouldnt let go, took from the entertainment value. B like, enough dude...and never saw the larger hypocrisy of his position?

A LIV type group would have a really hard time making a huge dent in football .
First off the Middle East don’t give a shit about American football .
Golf has been huge in the Middle East for a long time .

They would have to offer someone like mahomes over a billion dollars to leave the NFL . Sure they could afford it but they would also have to overpay for lineman , DEs , corners etc…

It would probably cost a LIV group billions of dollars just to have one team that would a competitive team in the NFL

Basketball is a different story .

They do like basketball in the Middle East and it would not be real difficult for a LIV type group to sign a few key players away from the NBA and make things interesting

Saudis would have a hard time getting the votes from NFL owners to get a team.
