Penn State is overrated every single year. They are lucky they start off the season with a good ranking. Joe Pa is a pussy. Every year he has one of the easiest schedules in the nation. Fuck him and fuck penn state I hope Iowa wins by 30.

This is exactly why Penn State opens up with a cupcake schedule every year. Because year after year they are proven to be a fraud and they want to hide it as long as they can. Great Job Iowa.

Big Ten Players of the Week

DEFENSE:
Pat Angerer, Iowa
SR, LB, Bettendorf, Iowa/Bettendorf
Angerer racked up a game-high 14 tackles while producing a pair of key turnovers to help the Iowa defense limit Penn State to only 10 points in a road triumph. After the Hawkeyes took their first lead of the game, 11-10, on a blocked punt return for a touchdown in the fourth quarter, the Nittany Lions’ offense marched into Iowa territory on the ensuing drive looking to reclaim the lead. On third-and-seven from the 49-yard line, Angerer recorded his first interception of the season and rambled 38 yards to set up the visitors’ second touchdown of the quarter and an 18-10 advantage. After a good kickoff return and a penalty, the hosts started their next possession at Iowa’s 36-yard line with less than nine minutes left in the game. On first down, the PSU running back sprinted 18 yards before Angerer forced a fumble that was recovered by the Hawkeyes at the 18-yard line. Iowa would add another interception on Penn State’s next drive and tack on a field goal for the 21-10 victory. Angerer spearheaded a defensive effort which picked off three passes and forced two fumbles, including one that led to a safety to give Iowa its first points of the game. After the hosts posted 147 total yards and jumped out to a 10-0 lead after the first quarter, the Hawkeyes held the Nittany Lions scoreless for the last three quarters while allowing only 160 more total yards. Angerer earns his second career weekly accolade after being honored last season on Oct. 20.

<!-- STORY AD ENDS HERE --> SPECIAL TEAMS:
Adrian Clayborn, Iowa
JR, DE, St. Louis, Mo./Webster Groves

Trailing 10-5 in the fourth quarter at nationally ranked Penn State, Clayborn turned the game around by blocking a Nittany Lions’ punt and returning it 53 yards for the touchdown and a lead Iowa would not relinquish. The junior defensive end becomes the third Hawkeye in the first four weeks of the season to earn special teams accolades after fellow defender Jeremiha Hunter was honored on Sept. 6 and punter Ryan Donahue was lauded on Sept. 20. Clayborn’s punt block score was the first for the Hawkeyes since Sean Considine returned a blocked punt seven yards for a touchdown in Iowa’s win over LSU in the 2005 Capital One Bowl. Clayborn, who also recorded two tackles on defense, scored his first career touchdown and blocked the second kick of his career, after rejecting a field goal as a freshman in a 2007 victory at Northwestern. The Missouri native picks up his first career weekly laurel.

Iowa still showing why they are a dominant force that nobody would want to play. Thanks for the laughs, most of you!:ohno:

Maybe instead of playing MAC schools, Iowa could make a trip to South Bend.

Any comments about the Zebras. Usaually home team get the calls. Not in this game. How about the two great catches #6 made for Penn St. The catch over the middle where he clearly has his hands under the ball one ref calls it a catch, than another ref comes running towards the receiver calling it incomplete. Than late 1st half ref call a 5 yard running into the kicker, when the defender was clearly blocked into the punter and the punter was barely touched. Eventhough Brent Musburger stated the replay official is one of the best, he blew the review on the incomplete pass to #6.

I think Ferentz is outstanding except for one glowing weakness.......he and his staff are terrible in-game coaches.

I like Ferentz. If your calling him and his staff terrible in game coaches, than how would you rate the Zookster.

P.S. I remember when Iowa had that bowl game in Florida stolen from them by that corrupt referring crew. Does anyone else remember that bowl game. Nothing Ferentz could have done that day.
