I kinda feel like 200k is the new 100k with proper maintence getting around 200k is easily achievable with just about any halfway decent car.
did notice some names not mentioned in here, dodge, Pontiac, Mazda, Mitsubishi, hyundai..avoid
I swear by the upper tier foreign models. Lexus, Acura, Infiniti imo are some of the most durables rides on the road
Yep. You should be getting 200k out of today's cars. Foreign cars just run longer. I drive a 2007 Volvo S60 with 160k. Girl drives a 2009 Caddilac Escalade ESV with 200k. I'm a car guy so I fix most anything. On my car I've done a lot to make it run smoother, not just because it broke. I changed the entire suspension, pcv breather system, and smaller things to make it run smoother. I like working on cars. The Escalade has needed a few grand maintenance over the years. Both cars run great. She's wanting a new one so we will probably get another car.
Same. Everyone of the ones I know that had em got rid of the money pits asap.I've actually heard the escalade is horribly unreliable. Surprised to see it show up in this thread
Geography has alot to do with this thread. Snow, salt ,ice play havoc on exterior. Also certain states like pa are more strict on inspection. Imagine you find the highest miles down south with lenient state inspection
