Listen. I don't need my government telling me what fucking language I need to know. I live in America, I speak english. My nationality is Italian. If I want to live in a country where Italian is the language spoken I will move the fuck to Italy. If I want to live in a country where spanish is the language spoken, them I will move the fuck to spain.

I agree 100% that it will only benefit a person to know a second language. If we don't secure borders you may even have spanish become even more prevalent. However we should concentrate on getting this idiot generation with a 50% dropout rate to speak, read and write english. Does Ebonics count as a second language? Most youths are fluent in that one. Before you can learn a second languge, you need to learn one.
