I am going to guess that Russ and most of your co-workers know the difference between our and are. I would think usually the mistake is caused by laziness or not paying attention. Regardless, those types of mistakes look terrible and are easily avoidable.

It doesn't change my mind at all. The cop in question didn't know that Brown was a suspect in the robbery but more importantly Brown knew he was a suspect, a guilty suspect at that. When Brown & the cop collided, Brown if he was capable of any rational thought at all
which may be likely, thought he was being nabbed for that very incident & acted like a criminal would, even though the cop wasn't aware
of Browns most recent criminal deed. His mindset and his actions because of that mindset help create the scenario which occurred.

I'm going to guess you are wrong. I know many of my co workers don't know the difference because many have been doing it for years. Whether Russ really knows or not is still questionable especially since he is claiming a typo when it obviously was not a typo.
