Can't see how a point is going to help either cause no way with that play will either of these squads get a win over Colombia or Ivory Coast but Japan played like that point was important and didn't overly push the issue. Costa Rica is better than anybody gave them credit for, but Italy is another class and not going to take them for granted after the Uruguayan win. I expect the Azzuri to run up the score and advance to the next round so they can rest up players for the 3rd game. Nothing fancy here, better team up and down the line up and should get the win handily, anything less would be a surprise.

I vastly overated this Italian squad, slow and unmotivated, thinking their rep is enough to get them past teams and that they dont need to work. I havent recalled in recent history seeing Pirlo, Cassano and De Rossi just that bloody awful, guys couldnt complete passes, looked like pressure had them kicking in legs and just way off all day. Full marks to Costa Rica, if not for a couple non calls which couldve been either pks or quality free kick chances and a couple saves they couldve really ran the score up. Im glad the Azzuri didnt tie this game up late they didnt deserve it, if im gonna lose this bet id rather lose it watching the Italians go down in flames.

They couldnt hack it against the shitty us and now going to pull the miracle? this is a case of a team being a sexy pick amongst bettors and everyone jumping in imo, this is Germanys match if they want it. Beating average teams rather easily is what Germany does, they don't shit the bed often and I don't expect them to do it here.
Ugh what a day, gave a chunk of profit back. Bosnia sucks, could not believe how weak they were on defense, Nigerians just ran over them for chances, their physicality was just way too much for the Bosnians. The Bosnian captain what a farce of a player, felt bad for him out there, looked like a kid playing with men with how he was getting shoved around and handing the ball away over and over. Still Bosnia had its shots and a bad call didn't help on the called off goal but in the end the scoreline is all that matters and it was a loss.

This is just what Belgium needs, they weren't firing on all cylinders vs Algeria but this should allow them to get their game right, Russia will try to slow this game down and keep it a low scoring affair and they may well succeed for a while but this Belgian squad is ultra talented and will come in steady waves. With little to no Russian counter it should be just chance after chance till they get their lead, then it opens up or Russia hopes they can keep the goal differential down and hope it can take a match from Algeria and sneak into the next round that way, either way it's not going to be a great day for Russia. But then I have been wrong before lol gl everybody!

no point in ruining a good day, no play on Portugal/USA...too many variables for me to get a read. If Ronaldo is even 75% they win, if he's not then the lack of a supporting cast may be too much.
