For those of you who are new to the thread, here is a detailed reposted summary of what this thread is all about and my intent:

This thread is officially going to be maintained this year now that I see there is some interest in Phil Steel/NC by the opening of another NC

thread which is mostly for posting the picks for I assume fading purposes.

For reasons explained in that thread, I am going to run this thread in exactly the same manner as I did as it did in the Sites

Promotion Site.

To cut to the chase I will be tracking the record for the NC Late Phones ONLY giving periodic cumulative recaps of the overall

records for NC for both the NC College Late Phones which is comprised of sides and totals as well as for the NFL Late Phones,

factoring in the cost of service and then state what a $100 player would be up or most likely down if he had played the picks

according to scale which starts at 2*(which is almost always for Monday Night only) and for the other plays which are rated from 3*

to 5*.

That's it-no more and no less!!

It is a great thread and as you can see with lots of hits already!!

I am very proud of the work I have done over the years with my Phil Steele/NC threads, which contain valuable record-keeping as

well as the manner in which Phil Steele and NC operate, the latter which is very valuable to newcomers and/or newer gamblers

who are not yet wise to their ways!!

If you don't care for it, change the station-it is that simple!!
I have made 1 point all along. If you don’t post the plays before the game, how does it help those who want to fade?

Fine and that is true if you want to look at ONLY using your point of view.

Here is a repost of why I believe what I do is also very important and I am not going to debate it::

"I am not going to answer for MGMan because he is quite capable of doing it on his own!!

That said I am going to post why your response is way too limited and one-way.

You or anyone else can agree and/or disagree but you are not going to change my opinion.

First of all, your first statement while true especially for last year's disaster does not take into account for THIS year and how NC is doing!

Lets take two examples, one in baseball and one in horse racing.

Consider this:

if one is a decent handicapper or just a person who makes and bets on his own games!!

Let's say that in one of the baseball games going today there is a starting pitcher going today who has a horrible record say using your

time frame of the last five years.

However, in his last two starts, he has been tremendous/lights out, dominant and went at least seven innings.

The question is before betting against this pitcher because he has been terrible overall over the last five years,

do you think it is important to know how he has done of late before placing that wager??

It is the same with horseracing with a horse that over the last five years has hardly been in the money let alone won

but in his last three races has won twice and second once.

Let's say that the odds on the race the horse is participating today are 20-1.

The question is whether the person wagering should know this before wagering on one of the favorites going off

2-1, 3-1, etc?

If so, does it make sense to you/do you agree that there are/should racing publications that publish this information, which

also applies to what I said above in my baseball pitching comparison."

NC won their Sept. five-star but so far a mediocre 5-4-1 so far with only California out.

College side picks continue to suck as so far 1-4 on the day but totals go 4-0 with a couple of very close wins.

It comes down to the California 3 unit, which doesn't look good at the moment.

If they win and my calculations are right, they pick up 5.5 units on the day.

If they lose, they lose .8 units on the day.

There seems to be some discrepancy here with not only their record keeping but the picks they gave out.

On comp. line they say they have out OVER Texas State rather than UNDER Texas State as posted here and called it a push

rather than the W I gave them at UNDER 59 1/2

In addition, they called the UNDER in Bowling Green a push at 45 rather than the W I gave them.

I just went back and checked the lines at Scores and Odds at what they were at 11:00 AM yesterday when plays were given out,

and they had 59 1/2 on Texas State which would make their play a LOSER if it was the over as it ended on 59.

Also, the total on the Bowling Green game was 44 1/2, which would also make their play a LOSER.

Before I grade these games again I would like to know the following if anyone knows for sure:

1) Did they give out the over or under in Texas State Game?

2) What were the lines on the two games in question at around 11:00 AM yesterday??

The bottom line is that in spite of the 5 Star Game of the Month winner on South Carolina, it was an overall LOSING

day as usual but at this point, how many unit they lost is unknown.

Thans in advance to anyone whoi can shed light on this.

I just checked the Sports Monitr and see that it was the OVER in the Texas State Game and not the UNDER.

Also, they graded the two games in question as pushes.

Thus unless someone can show me for sure that the lines showing on Scores and Odds at around 11:15 are correct by using

lines from somewhere else, I am going to give NC the benefit of the doubt and call the games pushes as the Sports

Monitor did.

Coming off a 3-5-3 week with combined college sides and totals with their star-rated Late Phone Plays and an 2-2

in the NFL, here are the cumulative records through last night, Sept 25:

College Sides and Total 15-23-3

NFL 4-8

The total cost of service is $1060 so far for a non-Power Sweep or Power Play subscriber.

A $100 player playing these games according to scale and adding in the cost of service is MINUS $5675!!

And we are still in September!!!

Savage:

Thanks for pointing that out. Great record keeping. Gotta be honest with you. I already was on S. Carolina and when I saw that he gave it out as his 5* I did put a tad bit more money on the game. So kudos for Phil on winning his 5*. It's too bad that he's losing tons of $$ for his clients.

Hope all is well with you.

Remember, folks, that the NFL GOM goes this Sunday.

The only question is whether the GOM is for September or for October as Sunday marks the first day of October rather than

the last day in October.

I emailed Steele/NC to remind them that even though they haven't a NFL GOM for September yet, they should not designate it for

September because September will be over by them.

I reminded them that if they try to pull a fast one and simply call the play this SUNDAY the GOM and then post another one later

in October, I will remind them in this thread and other forums that they not being honest!!

I also told them that they could try getting away with calling this week's GOM the "SeptOBER" GOM, which would then allow them to

post a separate October NFL GOM!! lol

For the record, NC split out on the Marquees yesterday winning on Detroit in the NFL and losing on OVER Western Kentucky

in college.

Another losing Saturday for Phil Steele/NC no matter how the final pick of the day on Washington turns out.

So far another horrible days with sides at 1-4-1 while totals go 3-1.

Washington goes down making it 1-5 -1 on sides and a 30%(that's right) on the season!! and 37% for last season!!

Check Sports Monitor if you don't believe me!!

My numbers were confirmed in comp. line making it an overall 4-6-1 which includes totals bringing the total deficit to an

almost unimaginable 7K including the cost of service for a non-newsletter subscriber.

This includes the $1000 lost yesterday for $100 player who played the games according to scale!!

Oh yes the college side plays now stand at 9-21-1 for the season or 30%!!

We have an interesting situation.

NC sweeps today winning 10 units, which exactly offsets the 10 units yesterday.

It looks like for the second or third time this season the outcome of tomorrow night's 2* NFL will decide their fate for the week.

However, when the cost of service for the week for a non-newsletter subscriber at 3.2 units or $320, it will be yet another

losing week which has been a regular occurrence for Steele/NC for the last few seasons!!

Does anyone know what the 2* play was last night?

I need it to complete my weekly and cumulative tally.

Unless someone is able to provide me with an answer to the question asked above, I am going to call it an L in my cumulative record

update tomorrow.

The Sports Monitor still hasn't posted what the play was.

The fact that on Tuesday the comp. guy didn't mention the game tells me with almost 100% certainty that the pick lost!!

Why are you obsessed with Northcoast? I don't understand the point you are trying to prove. Nearly all sports services have a losing record. So why should Northcoast be any different?

I do it for the same reason that PimpyMcPimp does what he does with his LOSER Lang Thread, namely because we think it is important

to know and document how a scamdicapper operates with documentation of their records!!

You are correct that most sports services lose but imo what I and Pimp do is educate younger people and/or people who are new

to sports gambling to the tactics of lots of services by choosing well-known ones as examples of the tricks, deceptions and lies by omission

their modus operandi .

I have been following Phil Steele/NC since they began forty years ago and consider what I do and have done as a public service.

I hope that helps!!
