I can tell you this, there main NFL handicapper passed away last December. He was also the same person who was running Hot Shot Sports from their
community line. Also as of three weeks before the season, they hadn't even replaced him. Guy who passed was only in his 40s.

Wow-thanks so much for that great information!!

What I don't understand is that assuming I understand you correctly and Steele was not involved in the picks, then why have

the college side picks been so putrid??

I always thought Hot Shot Sports was a decent service, and/or at least hell of a lot better than Steele/NC!!

Am I missing something here??

IDK, The office employees have been cut more than in half last I know, from 20 to under 10. I am not going to tell you I know who is doing the
college capping but I will say this, you can be sure Phil still has his hands involved when it comes to a big play being released/ it will NEVER be a selection he is on the opposite side of. More to come down the road. Phil is not a good boss or for that matter he cares more about his football magazine and football then his own mom. Stay tuned for some interesting tidbits

Imo whoever has been making the picks for the last two years for the last few years, especially the college side picks, loses week after week

because it appears to be that they believe there is no such thing as linemaker mistakes and always go with the lines that move and never

against them.

I have noticed that almost invariably the higher the line moves(and this applies tp totals also), they will take the favorite or over and the more

it moves to the downside, they will almost take the dog or UNDER!!

It goes without saying that this kind of one-way thinking is a losing one, and their record proves it!!

According to the Sports Monitor the Marquee GOM is UNLV!!

Here is where it gets interesting.

At the Sports Monitor the game is listed as a 2-unit Marquee which with Steeles/NC rating does not qualify as any Game of Anything!!

Also, although the game was advertised as a Marquee Play only, it is also listed as a 3 unit Late Phone Play.

The game is losing at the moment.

The point/question is whether Steele/NC is trying to double dip here, ue count it both as a Marquee G OM as well as a 3-unit play if it wins

or as I suspect only count it as a Marquee loss if it loses.

It will be interesting to see how they count this game in the morning one way or the other!!

Ok here is what is going on:

I just checked with the Sports Monitor and I was right for the most part.

They have UNLV listed as a 2* Marquee loss and as well as a 3* Late Phone Loss.

Where I was off is that practically all of their Marquees are rated s 1* meaning that a 2* is a big play.

In fact there was only one other 2* listed for the entire season and that was a week ago.

There was nothing rated higher than a 2*.

Thus my conclusion is that the play was advertised as a Marquee Play only they also gave it out to the Sports Monitor as a Late Phone

for whatever reason(probably to try to sneak it in someday as a W when no one was watching and to not count it if it lost).

I am going to wait until what they say on comp. line today but at the moment in my record keeping it goes down as a 3* Late Phone

loss.

I just emailed this to Phil Steele/Nv.

I usually don't like to this thread up with my personal dalings with Steele/NC but the lies by omission and

deception are so glaring I decided to post them here and with last post.

There are always new sports gamblers who need to be aware of scandicappers like Phil Steele/NC and his co-conspirator

Todd who does the comp. line.

Here you go:

"In short, what you have done so far exemplifies what Steele/NC are laughed at all over the internet and why your sales

of anything you sell have plummeted.

First of all you lie by omission as to how you have really done overall this season, MINUS $7200 for a $100 player to be exact,

and talk and brag ONLY about that which wins(standard op) in the short term and try to give the impression you are

winning when in fact nothing can be further from the truth other than your three GOM.

I mean really how insulting is it to brag about your 5-2 in sides last week when you are still MINUS for the

season as well as 40% for the last three years.

Also you are pumping your 4.5 totals play this week but don't mention you went 0-4 last week with them.

The way you worded the ad is that while this play is a 4.5 unit play, it leaves the door open

for another 4.5 unit GOM total in a few weeks before October ends.

To any intelligent observer who has followed you for a while, it is obvious that you need something to get people

excited this weekend but since it is only the first weekend, you don't want to waste your other three GOM

so early in the month, and that is the reason you SCRIPTED two big plays for this weekend!

Also you advertised you Marquee GOM last night only as a Marquee play but yet you gave it out the Sports Monitor

also as a 3* Late Phone play.
.
I am quite sure for some sinister reasons that you could count it for a W for BOTH a Marquee GOM and a

W for the Late Phones if it won when nobody was watching.

It goes without saying for my record keeping you get a big fat L in my tall for the Late Phones!!

Anyway, here is what I posted in my thread.

In addition, I am going to post a copy of this email:

If my math is right, Steele/NCgo 3-2 in sides and pick up 2.3 units.

In total they lost both big plays and go 1-3 overall or MINUS 9.65 units.

Overall they go 4-5 MINUS 7.35 units

With Friday's 3 Late Phone Play or UNLV or -3.3 units,, they now stand -10.65 units for the week plus cost of service.

It serves those sons of bitches right to LOSE BOTH BIG SCRIPTED plays this weekend!!

A 2-1 day is better than a losing day!!

However, with just a 2* left for this week, it is going to be yet another losing week!!

Although I only keep track of the actual records, let just say in 2022, 2023 and so far in 2024, the overall number of weeks the Late Phone

play have won VERY is sparse and out they weeks they did win, most of those positive weeks were very tiny in units won!!

Here is the overall recap for week 7, another sorry week, and the pathetic overall cumulative record so far:

Week 7

College Sides 3-3

College Totals1-3

The overall record is college sides 17-19 and totals 8-16.

The NFL picks go 3-1 and for the season are 11-13.

The cost of service for a non-newsletter subscriber is $1948.

A player who has bet these games at $100 a unit according to ratings with the cost of service factored in is now MINUS $ 8169!!

Well said with the cost of the service most of us never take that into account..
