I believe they always give a side and total for Monday night football. If memory serves me correct didn't Phil Steele / Northcoast go one whole season recently where they went the went the entire season without hitting both and usually lost both game & total?

I am not sure if they ever went an entire season, but I do recall a few years when I commented on going a lot of weeks or even months

without hitting both pieces!!


I mean even for Steele/NC to go sixteen or seventeen months without getting lucky and winning both in at least one week would be quite

a negative "accomplishment!!" lol

It wasn't 17 or 18 months. It was 18 weeks and I'm almost positive he went 0-2 or 1-1 every week for 18 straight weeks. Phil Steele was on a radio station in Salt Lake city two years ago doing college football picks. He would give out 4-5 picks per week. It got so bad and the host must have been barraged with calls and emails because the host after 5-6 weeks stopped giving out his weekly or yearly record on his on air picks. I tracked it the entire season and only twice did he go 2-2. Every other week he had a losing record.
It's pretty evident Phil Steele / Northcoast's record on college football and Monday night plays is absolutely pathetic! Mid 30% pathetic!

My bad- I meant to say weeks as I hinted at in the first line!!

No one could go 17-18 months without going 2-0 at least once!!

Your 17-18 WEEKS sounds spot-on the more I think about it, and I recall at the ATS Talk Forum or Cappers Access(can't remember which one I

was at), commenting on it as you just did!!

Do you post plays only after games start?

No that is not my intent at all!!

When I get the picks before he games start as was the case most of last year, I post them as soon as I get

them(usually from main posting thread).

Unfortunately at least so far the picks are not available until after they start if at all and my only source is the Sports Monitor

that doesn't post their plays until AFTER the second half begins.

The overall record is college sides 5-11 and totals 5-7

The NFL picks go 0-5 and for the season are 2-8.

The cost of service for a non-newsletter subscriber is $873.

A player who has bet these games at $100 a unit according to ratings with the cost of service factored in is now MINUS $ 6529!!!

But oh yeah, Steele/NC did find one thing about the zillion types of picks he considers, namely that the PowerPLay Newsletter picks won!! lol

I can only assume that Steele/NC believes they have some masochists in their targeted subscribers. lol

Well, all I can say is today's comp. lie message is interesting and telling!!

First if all it was very predictable after the disastrous start this season and last week especially, a "subscriber appreciation

week" was in order as well as a Game of Something.

Sure enough, there are the with both things cited above with the NFL GOM being the prize!!

The discounts for 2024 newsletter subscribers only are quite big with various packages going for $39.

However, there is no price for Executive Service yet which includes everything rather than the piecemeal ones for $39.

I expect that will come tomorrow.

Also, we need to know the Late Phone cost only for the star-rated side plays only and whether they include totals or not, which

has not been the case so far, which has necessitated that people purchase full Executive Service in order to get them for

I generally don't post what I email to Phil Steele/NV(It goes without saying they never respond).

That said, I did email him something today because it is a noteworthy weekend with their NFL GOM and their various $38

specials so far, none of which includes everything.

Here you go:

Nice try to spin your 1/2 OVER loss into a win last night into the win.
The fact is that there were two garbage touchdowns at the end to make it look a good pick when in fact it was a terrible pick just like all of your "I don't care what the number is if it is high-play it over!!'
This kind of thinking applies even more in general with your college sides picks when the more inflated the line is on the upside, you go with the favorite and when it low, go with the dog!!
It is no wonder that you can't crack 40% with your side picks let alone win!!
Finally your promotions and combinations for your discounts for the week are very forced and strained and are geared for newsletter subscribers only and are just piecemeal only.
I didn't hear one that amounts that includes everything that includes everything, which I assume will be for Executive Service to be advertised tomorrow.
Also I assume there will be a package for non-newsletter subscribers.
As it stands now, your promo sounds like a hastily put together, scrambled attention-seeking promotion born out of desperation because of your horrible start!!
If I were in your shoes, in order to get some positive attention and subscribers, I would simply offer full Executive Service for EVERYONE for this weekend for $39!
ps NC had the under in the Jets game and OVER in the South Alabama game.
