Well as October starts to wind down with only more weekend left, it is time for NC's SCRIPTED College Side GOM!!

The hype and bs started yesterday and as usual all Todd(the Turd) Phil Steele's flunky comp. guy has done is brag about the FEW and

I MEAN FEW things that have won for NC over carefully selected time frames, which sure as hell doesn't include the College Side

which as you can see in the record is unspeakably and embarrassingly horrible!!

It goes without saying that Steele/Todd don't even vaguely hint that it is still October and $100 players who have played all

of the Late Phone college sides and totals and the NFL according to scale and factoring in the cast is closing in on MINUS 10K!!

Back in the am with final recap.
NC wins the last two games, goes 6-5 with Late Phones and picks up 3.3 units on the day.

Factor in the 2.25 or $225 cost for a non-PS subscriber, they pick up a scant 1.05 units or $105, which hardly makes a dent

in their well over 9K overall deficit for combined College and NFL picks for a $100 player playing according to scale!!

Here are the new record-keeping figures through last night Monday, October 30:

Coming off a 6-5 week with combined college sides and totals with their star-rated Late Phone Plays and a 4-0

in the NFL, here are the cumulative records through Monday, October 23:

College Sides and Total 34-50-5

NFL 16-18

The total cost of service is $2377 so far for a non-Power Sweep or Power Play subscriber.

A $100 player playing these games according to scale and adding in the cost of service is MINUS $8457!!

ps College sides are now 23-36-2 or 40% which in effect picks right up where they left off last season with sides finishing at 37%

for the ENTIRE SEASON!!

Todd never mentions this record but rather talks about only the few things that have won over VERY CAREFULLY SELECTED

time frames!!

In my previous post, line 3 should read through October 30.

Is Marquee bigger play than a 2* ?
Good to see you, Stevie in a non-political thread!! lol

In answer to your question, the answer is definitely NO.

To my knowledge, unlike the Phiile SteeleNC Late Phone Plays which carry designated ratings and which are their most important

plays, the Marquees are a separate and unrated set of plays sold separately from the Late Phoone and a lot cheaper.

What is interesting is that these plays along with the free comp.s have done remarkably better than their Late Phones over time

especially over the last few years!!

But in reviewing your post, I see that is not what you asked.

Thus take what I just said as additional information about NC,

Back to your question, it is a good one!!

I am not sure that I have a response as to how a 2* compares to a Marquee!!

What makes the answer even more confusing is that NC not only has Marquees, but if I recall, double marquees and triple

Marquees as well as regular and top opinions with their Executive Service!!

My opinion is that for Steel/NC the different Marquees and opinions have different undefine ratings and meaning

dependent on whether they win or lose!! lol

ps I wish I could give you a more definitive answer but to sum it my response, the ratings of Marquees are floaters

and don't have an actual defined rating and are used only as a tool for Steele/NC to market one of many different sets

of plays they offer in order to have at least something to brag about if they happen to win!!

Hope that helps!!

Many many years ago buddies and I would call the free pick line ever day as it produced more winners than the paid service. Lol

By the way, Marquee sounds larger than a 2* it seems to me. But with scammers who knows
Imo I would say conservatively that based on the way they market it, it is equal to a 2*.

In actuality, for reasons unknown, it is very rare when NC has a star-rated play rated higher than a 2*.

For that matter, I can't recall very many if any instances when on any day other than Monday they even had a 2*.

Very rarely do they have a 3* on a Monday but that is so rare that you can probably count the number of times on one hand since I started

following them!!

Virtually all of the other rated plays are 3*, 3.5 stars, 4 * or 5*.

Also, there has always been a 2* rated and Marquee Play on Monday night, one for the side and one for the total.

Imo this is for marketing only as it gives NC an opportunity to market two plays with two separate admissions!!

In addition by not designating the actual rating for the Marquees, it gives NC a way to brag about the outcome, which

will rise in importance in their record keeping if that play wins and the 2* loses and vice versa if the Marquee loses

and the 2*wins!!

I hope this all makes sense!! lol

ps This goes back many, many years probably close to 20, but way back when Phil Steele/NC gave out the side or total on Monday

Night(I think he charged for it but am not sure) and he chose some other service to give out the total if Steele/NC gave out the side pick

or the side if NC gave out/sold the total..

Phil referred to it as the Monday night battle of the handicappers to see who did better for that night and season.

The details are sketchy after all these years as to who was the capper who gave out the pick every Monday and/or whether

it varied!!

ps I wish in general my short term memory was as good as my long-term memory but unfortunately shit happens as one

gets older so that is not possible!! lol
