Quote by Victor King (King Creole) from Marc Lawrence's November 18 Podcast with Victor King - Against the Spread:
"its the sharp player out there that has more unders than overs or more underdogs than favorites that does very very well. You are not going to win long term, you are not going to profit long term if all you do is limit yourself to laying the points or betting overs."
God isn't this so true. I don't mess with Totals much but know all too well that the Square Mind when it looks at a line is SOOOO prejudiced automatically towards siding with the favorite and laying the points. I know, in my experience, overcoming this has been the hardest battle I've fought (and continue to fight) where regards Sports Betting. I've yet to overcome it, have concluded by now that i never will. Envy those that don't suffer from this. Its a plague, like, a disease of the mind. Detroit/Green Bay this past week a perfect example...GB banged up, DET having been owned in GB their last win there 1991 GB laying Double Digits the square mind realizes thats not a bet to make regardless of how much that square mind believes that DET sucks. GB just off those 2 Road Losses will be PRIMED ready to whoop DET's ass.
Voila.
Thanks for the time you invest in making available what you do Buzz. :toast:
This is a tricky week here. If I can avoid Crashing and Burning in NCAAF thats gonna be one
hell of an accomplishment. I can see the writing on the wall right now though.....
....the Burning Bush.
