Did they refund the money of any people who made "correlated" bets and lost? If not, they truly are scamming scum.

that's the whole point, sb is basically using its powers to steal hundreds if not millions of dollars from customers

One point that no one seems to address is that this is 31 cases out of a possible 25,000 customers! It sucks, but they will continue business as usual whether they are at the top or not. They have around 25 sister books that are involved.

After investigating for a few days, they may take down the banner.

This book is so out of line it's a joke.......

Pay the players and suck up to your mistakes as bookmakers.

This should be a shut and closed case..........the NEVADA GAMING board would have this operation shut down in a heartbeak if this were Vegas if they didnt pay this.

Unfortanately this is an unregulated business full of individuals that are greedy and feel they have a free right to steal dealing numbers in a third world country.

It's a shame that the FEW good books still remaining have to put up with this bullshit

If this happened in the U.S. they would be facing first degree unarmed robbery.<!-- / message -->Does it get any sicker?

Which begs the question, if they stooped this low, what else have they done that we don't know about?

I wouldnt call it theft, and this thread is not needed on this forum.

The guy were parlaying 1st bets with full game spreads. You cant do that and ANY better who has been around knows that.

These guys were taking shots at the biggest book in world and got caught.

Now I also dont think that sportsbook should have seized all of the funds, but there really is no correct solution here. Maybe they can return 305 of the money

PO69, stfu already.

They booked the bets, they should pay the bets.

I used to post sportsbook was a decent out for smaller bettors, but to borrow a line from one of my favorite posters Chuck Sims, sportsbook.com now has earned shit book status.

Bump to the front for any unsuspecting Newbies coming on Thursday to garner a look at Ace-Ace, Kingdom Come or any of the other highly-viewed (whether you agree with them or not) cappers in the NFL forum. I wish they would all be willing to add the disclaimer "My plays - use them or fade them, just don't place them at Sportsbook.com"

Some great commentary in this thread. Agree with Pat Irish that you don't have to watch Fox News for more than 30 minutes to see that yesterday's 'Breaking Story' is today's old news - and that this will probably pass with time (and eventually get buried under quality threads like "Which hand can you rub one out better with").

But, that wouldn't be a reason to stop watching the news altogether. And, it shouldn't be a reason we don't at least TRY to warn any new players about this site. Hell, if we even steer one away to a top-notch book, the effort was well worth it (besides, not sure how much effort it takes given I spend a fair amount of time on this site on the weekends anyway).

Also, I will say that I find it odd that the RX focus, at this time, seems to only be the one official poster that has been stiffed, as opposed to the whole blackeye this gives the industry. Maybe time will have them battling the book on general principle (anyone laying odds on that). Still, kudos to the RX for leaving up every thread concerning this injustice.

the worst part is, sportsbook is becoming one of the only books available for easy american deposits as most credit cards work rather easily. a lot of other books make it hard to deposit money into.

I know my brother sent money from his credit card there 3 months ago, I told him about this shit and he just requested full payout this morning. He built up $300 to $2,500... not to shabby

Ditto.

Yes he was a constant nag about books, but in the end, he probably helped alot of people.

This is complete bullshit and outright theft what sportsbook.com is doing to winning players.

They booked the action, so nothing other than paying their winners will be acceptable.

BUMP for the 'casual' weekend player (the one most likely to get sucked into the large sportsbookdotcom vortex).

Regardless of what outcomes arise (as of yet, I've only read sportsbook is thinking about looking at the account of the 31 players), this should never have been an issue. Book the bet, pay the bet as many posters have written.

Quite simply, why worry. This book has shown on a few occasions there are multiple reasons to worry. Much better books at the top of this page. I'll be placing wagers through BetJamaica and Bookmaker today.

Good luck with everyone's wagers today.

And if the Road Warrior says it, it must be true..

looks like MadJack also pulled down the sportsbook.com banner...

Until sportsbook.com releases something to make me change my mind, I have removed them from our list of sponsors and have removed all banners and links directing people to their website.

Two things prompted me to make this decision prior to them releasing the infomation they promised me.

In the rules on their website they have the following posted:

- Accepted bets cannot be cancelled or amended in any way, either by the customer or by Management.

- Parlay or Multiple Betting
No parlay wagers can be accepted where individual wagers are 'connected' , 'dependant' or 'correlated'. For example, one wager in your parlay is for Sampras to beat Agassi in the 4th round of Wimbledon and the second or additional part of the parlay is for Sampras to win the overall Wimbledon title. The match forms part of the overall tournament and is therefore 'correlated'. In the same way, you cannot parlay the total of the first half of a football game with the total of the game line itself, as the two are 'dependent'.

My opinion is; they should make good on their published rules or madjacksports.com won't be sending any business their way.

So if they accepted a wager on Michigan today at +22, that wager would stand?????

There should be a permanent post warning players to stay away from many books. The biggest three are betRoyal, BetUS, and now Sportsbook.com!!! It is our obligation to warn and save players from depositing into deposit only books. Why else are forums even here if we cant do this simple chore?

Exactly! Stay far the freak away from SB.com, BetRoyal, and BetUS!!! And keep the word out there that these books are never to be welcomed into the circle of trust. No matter how many times they try and tell us theyve changed ownership or haveSoumi changed their ways. Bullshit!! If youve scammed a winner once, you are done forever!!!!
