SPORTSBETTING.COM DROPPED AS A SPONSOR- WE ENCOURAGE ALL OTHERS TO DO THE SAME!!<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

We try to give each of our advertisers the benefit of the doubt whenever possible. There is no way to defend the blatant THEFT that occurred to some of our posters and fellow gamblers with accounts at Sportsbook.com and their associated properties.

Up until today, Sportsbetting.com, part of the Sportsbook.com family, was one of our advertisers.

Eye On Gambling is dropping them due to the fact that they admitted to stealing money from 31 accounts; the total amount is at the minimum in the hundreds of thousands of dollars.

EOG will not and cannot condone this behavior.

Sportsbook.com can't retroactively cancel winning parlays because they finally recognized there is a higher than normal correlation between certain events. They have been accepting these parlays for years. It was their poor internal controls that allowed them. They need to lick their wounds, adjust their software, and move on.

Until Sportsbook.com makes this situation right with the players being STIFFED, EOG refuses doing business with them or any books associated with them.

Furthermore, although just a mere drop in the bucket, EOG intends to PAY OUT the players who were robbed from the pro rated amount of money we have left from their advertising contract with us. Eye On Gambling urges all of its competitors to do the same.

Sportsbook.com should not be given a pass here. They need to know there are consequences for their actions. The gambling community needs to take a unified stance here.

If Sportsbook.com reconsiders its position, EOG reserves the right to do likewise.

i think shrink dropped sportsbetting.com as a sponser because they made him and his site look bad. i really dont think he gives two shits what goes on over here. people are reading way too much into this. he dropped them because it was the right thing to do and their name was bad for business.

Where are the mods on this one?

I think it is a joke and makes this sight lose a lot of credibility that they are a sponsor.

I wouldn't play there.

Right. The same way Burger King doesn't care what McDonalds does.

The shrink saw this as a golden oppurtunity to look good at the expense of the therx. Unfortunately, its working out great for him. And i have a sneaky feeling that Rick is up to something and the situation is far from over.

Shrink did this for 2 reasons which I will list. You can decide what order they should be in.

#1 it was the right thing to do

#2 it made any other site that had not already done the same, look foolish, and he saw this as a wonderful chance to for a very small amount of $(lost ad dollars), gain an edge over the competition.

i think he did it for 1 reason and 1 reason alone. It was the right thing to do. why would he give a fuck about any place but his own?

I wasn't going to post on this subject anymore but I just spoke to a customer service supervisor from SKYBOOK and he said that he didn't have a problem in the decision that Sportsbook made and that players who try to scam Skybook will have the same fate. I would have closed my account immediately but since I only have a small amount there I will play it out. I will play what I think are correlated parlays at Skybook and see what happens. I advise players to rethink about reupping with books with thus attitude. HOORAY for Shrink on this one.

OK shows you how many times I go over there.

Checked it out during J-Mans dog and pony show but have since not even bothered.

But in thier defense I bore easily.

how do we get this improtant warning message for all posters and new people to not send any money into sportsbook.com We need this as a sticky for the page top? Maybe the masses (ie us posters) need to bump it for at least 4 months through the super bowl on the hour...

Wow, and for a second there I thought they did something for the good of the cause. I was very surprised and thankful.

Until I saw you post this. From an employee across the street, somebody who has posted here 3x in the past year. It now reeks of publicity stunt. Dissapointing.

People see the warning ... they play anyways ...

They're like little kids ... the mother warns them against something ... they do it anyways ... and when something bad happens, they come crying home to mommy.

It won't end, try ... it won't end.

There is a sucker born everyday, and that is what sportsbook.com is banking on.
