I submit that Tuesday, November 4, 2008 and Tuesday
November 6, 2012 were far worse for the country.

Followed closely by Sunday December 7, 1941 and Tuesday
September 11, 2001.

The ramifications of those four days will go done in infamy.

The thousands of deaths on 9/11 and the thousands of deaths because of the terrible decisions by the bush/Cheney admin will never be surpassed by anything the Obama admin does. 9/11 and the handling after it will have ramifications for decades and decades.

Worst day in our history.....with the worst possible administration in office. Bad combo.

You mean the war that was voted on and approved unanimously by the senate and easily passed in the house?

Good call.

Can't believe Obama still hasn't been tried for war crimes for his continuing conflicts in the middle east and northern africa. How much blood does he have on his hands with domestic military deaths as well.

Worst admin and American hating administration in our history. By a long shot.

Remember when the Sudanese had Bin Laden in custody and offered him to Bill Clinton in 1996 for his role in the attack of the World Trade Center in 1993? OH SHIT, forgot about that one eh?

Why did Clinton let him go? Why didn't he make the deal? Why is Bush getting the blame 6 years later, 1 year in office for an event that should have been stopped by the lying impeached sleezbag libreral democratic hero Bill Clinton?

Hmm.. Bush's fault..I see the logic.

After the 1993 World Trade Centre bombing, which killed six and injured 1,000, President Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.

After the 1995 bombing in Saudi Arabia, which killed five US military personnel, President Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.

After the 1996 al-Khobar towers bombing in Saudi Arabia, which killed 19 and injured 200 US military personnel, President Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.

After the 1998 bombing of US embassies in Africa, which killed 257 and injured 5,000, President Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.

After the 2000 bombing of the USS Cole, which killed 17 and injured three US sailors, President Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.

Maybe if Mr Clinton had kept his promise, an estimated 7,000 more people would be alive today.

On average 6,775 people in the United States die ever day.

Put that into perspective before you start your sanctimonious screeching.

Too funny.....what does that have to with deaths in a war we shouldn't be in? Do you understand the difference between a 90 year old nursing home guy dying and a 23 year old marine with wife and young kids dying in a war we shouldn't be in

of course you don't understand

Because FCOL that's not the topic of this thread. It's never before released photos of a tragedy, the result of an evil unconscionable act perpetrated by terrorists who want to kill us all. It's not about our response to it. The intent was to murder Americans, as many as possible regardless of their political leanings. And it was a blow to all of us. And these are pictures of our officials on that terrible day. Can't it just be about that moment?

I guess since everything on this board is about blame I shouldn't expect too much from people.

(If I were like some of you guys I'd root for Iran to build a bomb just so I could have Obama to blame)

the truth is military spending cuts naively made because of some naive belief we were at peace after the cold war ended cleared the path to 9/11

Bubba and Newt both danced that dance

we should never have cut back in human intelligence, and that's what W ramped up again after 9/11

Bush had nothing to do with 9/11, he had a lot to do with infiltrating al-q and killing their leaders

but he mismanaged the war by not having a surge from day 1, it would have ended much quicker and I doubt we have the problems we do today

Actually Scott we probably should be ashamed of ourselves for feeding the troll.
You have plenty of reasons to be ashamed of yourself ....at least 16,839 reasons

that day and that aftermath will be forever linked to that administration

Ever notice the only govt cuts liberals accept involve national security?

Meanwhile...

It makes me sick that Republicans cooperate with a party whose policies do nothing but harm America, just so they can show their 'bipartisanship' to low-information voters.

Nah.....the decisions before and after that day by that administration were so destructive that there aren't any words for it. Those on the right will never see it because they don't want to. But if that attack and its aftermath happened sept 11th 2009.....you would be singing a different tune. See Benghazi.

I was already in full throttle after post #4 by Gator. I mean for fuck's sake you either know AQ did it or you're a WhackJob.

At least Vit didn't say "Bush did 9/11." I can't hear that without going off, still to this day. On most other topics here in which someone makes an idiotic remark I've built up restraint.

As far as Vit goes I accept him for who he is. He has certain uh (put it nicely SL) "tendencies" to cross the line and kill the thread's initial purpose. Whether it's to infuriate, or because in his opinion "everyone else does it so gloves off" I'm not sure. I try not to wag a finger at him more than once per thread because right or wrong the lad is no quitter. And after an exchange or 3 there's no gain. I've accepted save for a few debates there are no victors or vanquished here in The Poly.
