I got crushed on Sunday, today. I thought quality defensive dogs would do it. Guess not. only dog cover I got was one I shouldn't have with Heat backdoor. These games are killing the NBA, No games are close, nor competitive. Casual fan changing channel in 3rd quarter 3 out of 4 this weekend. David Stern has got to be close to panic mode as only close games keep the fringe fans. I am without an answer, I cannot believe the NBA wants this. I know networks and advertisers sure as hell do not. I just keep doing what I always have to be successful. just killing frogs now. No nothing tonight...Best Wishes...OF

And the beat goes on..............and on ..............and on.............................all the way through. I remember a few years back where my local got absolutly crushed.....I think this year has to be a killer for all bookmakers.

Any thoughts?

Doubt books did bad today as open/close bout the same. Lot of so called wise guys like myself keep feeding the squares. Good 2 way action, just a different bunch cashing. It is getting to the point of just pulling out the frogs. Past the point of unreal...OF

OFrog: I hear ya barking or should i say croaking? This is the first year in a long time in which i have watched baseball regular season instead of the NBA playoffs. I cant believe how one sided these contests are. I think the avg. fan like myself checks on the score every once and while and if its close ill stay. I believe i can say that only 1 of maybe 5 have been within 10??? Unreal. I hear ya croaking.

Lines during the post-season in most cases do not move much. Numbers are solid. 1/2 to 1 pt is a significant move and money may be lop sided. I'm sure there was heavy money on the lakers today and books took a lose. For the year, rumour has it books have not had a banner year.

Yesterday's 11/171 was not good at all. (free half) However, this playoff season hasn't been that bad for books who balance their action. Most games have not landed. Books who are off-screen and dont balance aren't very happy these days. However, in the long run, they will be just fine.

as we all know a square "whale" and squares coming in on a fave in most cases will not panic books and the tendency is to hold the line...

Not bad by a large extent, but with FAVS covering at a 33-15-1 clip in the playoffs, I can assure you this has not been a good playoff season in regards to JUST the pointspread betting for the majority of books.

The books can take remorse in the fact that the 33-15-1 rate of favs covering thus far in the NBA PLAYOFFS is not instead the FAV record for the first 3 weeks of the NFL season where the losses would be MUCH greater!!

That includes a major back door side/cover for Miami in game two at Indiana.

Wil, don't forget Mavs well deserved cover by a hook/one in Gm-2 at Sacto, Denvers 2nd half in Gm-5 @Minn w/o Melo for thin cover, plus NO's come from DDs to close Gm-1 @ Miami..otherwise three more favs.

What is also amazing is the amount of comebacks(runout and/or pullup) from halftime deficits thus far, Det at Mil Gm-3 & 4, NJ @Bost, Hou@LA, NJ at Det Gm-2, SA at LA Gm-3,etc..favs roll late at monster clip to date.

Horseshoe - good points, I am still a little stung from that Pacer collaspe in game two. I laid 11 for a push, but it for some reason felt like a loss. I know it is only one step on a long road, so will put it in the archives.

If you blindly played favs to the over in the playoffs, you have serious coin. I doubt anyone will try to refute this.

Its a f'n joke already.

The times people just bet favorites they get killed and the times you decide to "mix in some dogs" this crap happens.

Absolutely impossible to win in Las Vegas today. Literally, every soft number out there lost. Mind boggling. Just mind boggling.

I wouldn't have touched Detroit +2.5 or 3 with a pole, yet they even lost two teasers for me, jacking them to plus 10.5!

Yes, I've even resorted back to playing a few teasers as to jack some dogs higher..no matter.

It's as if every team watched the NO-Miami series, and said to themselves.."just hold serve and we will win Gm-7..wherever it is."
