My 28 year old son,who admitted to us he was an alcoholic over 2 years ago and hasn't had a drink since, has been training for last year and a half for this night and it was a very successful debut for him. Fighting at the 145 lb class, he took his opponent(a 3 time winner ) down about 30 seconds into the fight and stayed on top but was tied up with his opponent for the next minute. He was finally able to get his arms loose and pummeled his opponent with a flurry of punches until the ref stopped the fight at the 2 minute mark of 1st round. I'm a very proud Dad tonight...

For those interested, I am in the process of posting the video on YouTube and once complete will post here. The video is taken from where we were sitting in the stands so not up close but can still see my son throwing punches like crazy at the end pummeling his opponent, and of course hear me cheering him on, lol.
