My wife did not want to go at first because she wasn't really big on seeing our son fighting and possibly getting hurt. But after watching him fight, she loved it and also was very proud of him. What I found amazing was the crowd was pretty evenly split between females and males and maybe even more females. Women seem to love this stuff. Also very good sportsmanship between the fighters.Exactly, people don't understand the sacrifice it takes to be a fighter. And beating someone to a bloody pulp isn't even what it's about. Anyways, some will never get it, and some are like WTF have I been missing and being so negative for all this time for after attending their first show as this shit is awesome!

Yes but I don't support violence
You don't watch football (college or pros), hockey or boxing?
The DVD I mentioned I am buying from the communications company that recorded the event and won't get that for 1-2 weeks. I do have video of my sons fight on my phone but do not know how to load it here. If someone knows how and can instruct me I will attempt to load it.cool stuff! congrats. If you can share the video

Too bad it's not violence. It's in a controlled cage in a controlled environment. The love for one another most of these fighters have is amazing. These guys don't condone this in the streets either. That's violence.
So, you don't like football or rugby either because they can be labeled as "violence"?
Yes, I do watch football. I see where you can draw comparisons but c'mon. The game can obviously be violent at times but that's not the basis of the game.
My 28 year old son,who admitted to us he was an alcoholic over 2 years ago and hasn't had a drink since, has been training for last year and a half for this night and it was a very successful debut for him. Fighting at the 145 lb class, he took his opponent(a 3 time winner ) down about 30 seconds into the fight and stayed on top but was tied up with his opponent for the next minute. He was finally able to get his arms loose and pummeled his opponent with a flurry of punches until the ref stopped the fight at the 2 minute mark of 1st round. I'm a very proud Dad tonight...
