Badr Hari says he will be back at this event , feels very strong and is focused . Promises to make up his DQ in the K-1 GP with a wonderful KO over Alistair Overeem .

Any explanation on a very bizarre comment I received from Pinnacle? I asked if they would put up a line for Hari/Oveereem:

"We regret to inform you that the outcome is pre-determined, therefore we are not offering the bout between Badr Hari and Alistair Oveereem."

Very odd but it's likely just a mistake on their part. This thing isn't WWF wrestling... it's a real fight.

Damn I really wanted to back Hari. I already have small plays on JZ and Alvarez, I can't provide much analysis, just following other smart players.

GL with Hari.

This is a weird situation , probably pinnacle just doesn't plan to lose money on this fight even with the low 100 $ limit they have . I dont see Hari throwing a fight , he has way too much pride and is better than this to have rigged fights . Guy may act like an ass but he does deliver and backs up his talk that's why he is such a huge draw at the moment . Really don't understand what they ment by this reply to your question .

Tough one , I would rather bet on Aoki but this sure depends on where they fight ground or stand up . Still looking at it before I decide something .

2.87 units to win 2.5 units & 3 units to win 2.5 units = 5.87 units to win 5 units

I think JZ will decide where this fight takes place with his superior wrestling he can score points with takedowns and he has great sub defense so whatever Hansen might try on him from his back JZ should shake off also not to forget JZ has very nasty ground and pound . In the stand up I give the edge to JZ as well but I think scoring a takedown and trying to work from the top is the best way to approach this fight against Hansen who hits hard . Both are well-rounded but I feel like that extra wrestling edge JZ has over Hansen can be the deciding factor of the whole fight . If it they keep it standing I see JZ being the better man as well , just rewatched his K-1 fight against K-1 ace Masato and he fought really well , lost a decision but no shame at all , great performance against such a high K-1 caliber fighter like Masato in a pure stand up fight .

Could look similar to this but Hansen might get finished with ground and pound if he is dropped as many times as in his fight against Alvarez .

Asked how he felt fighting as the Champion on New Year's Eve, Hansen was humble:
"I haven't changed my training or let it affect my emotions, and I've prepared for this fight as for any other fight. JZ is an all-round fighter like me, and we can both stay on our feet or go to the ground. I plan to keep my guard tight, I think that's key for me, then I will make a dynamite show for Dynamite!"

Said Calvan: "I'm in very good shape, I'm always in very good shape. I had time to prepare for this and I'm very excited. I love to fight in Japan, the fan are so respectful, and I want to give their energy back inside the ring, so I'll do my best."
Calvan laughed when asked if he'd changed his style: "If you're born a banana, you're going to die a banana -- you just get more mature. I think attitude is the difference between me and Joachim -- the positive things I do in life, to get better and better every minute, every day, every fight!"

He can jump guard like he did to Jason Black and JZ. It's not like Alvarez has the strongest wrestling in the Dream LW circuit. Even Kawajiri mounted Eddie.

I give a slight edge to Aoki in this fight but the match is a toss-up. Put action on it if you must but Eddie at around -150 odds has no value.

Brainiac: Let me know your thoughts on HMC/Crocop and Nakamura/Tokoro.

HMC has stated publicly in the last couple of days that he's not in good health coming into this fight (that's a new one). He looked really really horrible his last fight. I think he might be showing up to pick up a check.

Nakamura is a big LW and was able to outpower a very strong Byu-kung jung (I think that's his name). He's also got some nice submission skills and power in his punches. Tokoro is a featherweight and has been fighting other FWs and bantamweights lately. He should be outmatched wherever the fight goes IMO.

Max bet on Hari, large bet on Nakamura, medium on Tamura, and smaller bets on CC, JZ and Aoki for me.

I really wanted to bet on Nakamura but chickened out at the last second yesterday. It was +100. I look today and it's -135. Wish I would have just went with the bigger, stronger guy.
