Wanderlei Silva vs Quinton Jackson

My pick is Quinton Jackson to win

Odds : + 116

Where : pinnaclesports

10 units to win 11.6 units

If only it wasn't for that legal trouble of Rampage I would be very confident with this bet , hopefully his head is where it should be because he can beat Wanderlei here after 2 losses in PRIDE .
Wanderlei got destroyed by Chuck in stand up war who himself isn't at his best anymore and bum rushed Keith Jardine who didn't know what hit him when Wanderlei put him in a rape choke with one hand and pounded him out with another .
Rampage knocked out Chuck and lost a decision to Forrest which could go either way . Forrest hurt Page's leg early and that was IMO the deciding factor in their fight but there will be different problems for Rampage that can make him go 0-3 against Wanderlei , that muy thai clinch I am talking about where Rampage always looks lost . Hopefully he does the right thing and takes Wanderlei down early , pounds him and wears him down . In stand up I also give the edge to Quinton Jackson as long as he can avoid this clinch that Wanderlei should be looking for . Wanderlei going to swing wildly but Rampage should not go there with him and pick his spots like Chuck did most of the time early in the fight before they started brawling . Odds way too good for me to pass as I think Wanderlei has been in too many wars and ended up on the bad end in most of his last fights like against Hendo , Mirko or Chuck .

Forrest Griffin vs Rashad Evans

My pick is Rashad Evans to win

Odds : + 101

Where : pinnaclesports

10 units to win 10.1 units

Should have placed this earlier , today all money coming on Rashad and I will join in . I don' see both Rampage and Evans losing their fights so as long as one of them wins I will get my stake back and some change but if both win this will be a nice payday .

Don't get me wrong Forrest is a tough mofo and got this belt for a reason but I just think Rashad has what it takes to beat him unless he does gas badly which sure is a legit point here against a huge LHW like Forrest .
Forrest beat an off juice Shogun who had his first fight after PRIDE , sorry but I dont give much credit for this even tho on paper this looks like a great victory . He won a decision over Rampage who could have finished him in the first after having Forrest rocked but wasn't able to . This was fairly even fight but early leg kicks work made the task easier for Forrest Griffin in this fight .
Don't feel like writing a lot , I took two very live dogs and as long as one of them wins I am fine , if both of them lose oh well that be it but like I've said before both have very legit chance to win if they stick to what they do best and avoid the strength of their opponents .

Great event to watch and for betting as well .

Barry won as expected , he used his leg kicks before otherwise I could claim he did read my thread about Evensen showing no defense for leg kicks against Kongo .

Didn't get to see Hardonk's fight but looks like it was pretty solid .

Okami did what he had to do against Lister .

Hamill won in a sloppy fight .

Great job Rampage , just what I was thinking about , let Wanderlei swing and pick your spot .

Lucky with Rashad as I think Forrest beats him more than not if they fight 10 times . Forrest won the first 2 rounds without lot of trouble but was pounded out in the third , will take it .

UFC 92 : 7-0 + 37.94 units

I signed up to the forum just to congratulate you Brainiac, 7-0 was crazy, most people I talked to basically broke even. I heard you're a smart capper through a referral and checked it out, I tailed you on a few plays. Missed out on Okami and Hammill, and played Nog BIG and Messenzio small, so I broke even at 4-2.

Dang Nog is washed up. First Oscar DLH shows up a fossil, and now Nog. I had both.

Anyway, I appreciate you posting your picks and analysis, you know your shit. If this forum dies down or you're looking for others places to discuss boxing/mma as well, I know at least one reputed forum that would be glad to have you!

Hari shocked the world by defeating Peter Aerts in the second round by TKO where he came out very explosively. Hari then knocked out Errol Zimmerman in the 3rd round to head to his first ever final. He met Remy Bonjasky for the second time and was disqualified for a foot stomp on Remy while he was on the canvas. Hari was originally issued a yellow card but after the docter said Remy was seeing double Kakuda swapped it with a red card.
K-1 World GP 2008

Badr was not suspended for his actions, but K-1 stripped him of his heavyweight title, he was not paid for his participation, and it looks like K-1 will be modifying the rules to allow for suspensions in the future

So Hari freaked out in his fight against Remy Bonjasky and was DQed but he didn't get a suspension because he is a real huge draw at the moment in K-1 and earns them lots of money but this wont have much to do with his upcoming fight .

So this year's K-1 GP finalist and IMO the best K-1 fighter in the world at the moment is going to fight a guy who fought under K-1 rules almost 5 years ago . Don't get me wrong Overeem is a strong MMA fighter but what many forget or maybe don't check : this will be a 3 RD fight under K-1 RULES , AKA no ground game .
Overeem has solid enough stand up for MMA but not elite , he lost to Mauricio ''Shogun'' Rua twice and to Kharitonov turning around and running away scared falling on the ropes . I don't even want to know where he will try to hide when he steps into the ring with Badr .

From Alistair's site :

2008.12.20
NEXT VICTIM: BADR HARI!
The discussion was who would fight under whos rules first and Alistair stepped up first! Alistair will fight Badr Hari at K1 Dynamite 31 december under K1 rules! Since Badr Hari challenged Alistair he sees no other option than cause another demolition and knock Badr Hari out! Both fighters agreed to fight in MMA rules early 2009!

This obviously is a joke , Overeem's striking is MMA style the way he is standing and you don't accept a K-1 fight against the top guy in his own background but they already agreed on a MMA fight rematch in 2009 where Hari is going to have close to no chance unless he can catch Overeem on his way to a takedown , back to the topic tho .

I wouldn't be surprised if this line ended at - 400 or something like that , I give Alistair about 5-10 % punchers chance , he cant outstrike Badr Hari in a K-1 fight .

This event is always for pure entertainment purposes so they decided to arrange a fight like that with a guy that has no business being in a K-1 ring against TOP 3 K-1 fighter .

Hari is my pick also and I'm waiting for the pinacle odds. I hope that will be around -200 or even more at the beginning. Overeem might treat this lightly because they have rematch allready in a couple of months - this time it will be a mma fight. I hope that we start this year with big shoot

Overeem tried to run away from the punishment a year ago against Sergei Kharitonov in a MMA fight

Congrats on a grat card last night.

Lucky for me bodog was understanding and they cancelled my Overeem wager since the line specified it was an mma fight. Should have figured it was K1 when i saw that line, but was too drunk.
