A few have pm'd me specific questions, I will answer them soon. I played cash all day today due to a late sleep in that was much needed. I will be playing the 3k no limit event tomorrow. I played 2 sessions today. The first session was 2 hours for -2200. I am still playing the second session and I am currently +3700. I'd love to make another 1500 and go to bed. I'd like to freeroll tomorrow's event. Overall I'm happy with the series so far. I have made a few deep runs and made a really good profit at the cash games. I had a friend come out Thursday, he is playing strictly cash for 10 days. This guy has only been playing poker for 8 months. He is absolutely crushing 2/5 no limit at a amazing clip. He has been putting in 12-14 hours a day. I'm glad to see him do so well as he was absolutely horrible just 4-5 months ago.
One of the better events of the series today. The 3k no limit. You start with 9k, so plenty of play. I had a amazingly tough table draw early. There were 5 well known pro's. unheard of in such a big tournament. Doubled up early to 19k, only to get my roommate moved to the table. We got into a odd hand 3 ways. I had to call his all in on the river. I'm sitting awfully healthy with 78k with only 3 levels left today.
I'm hearing about 250 move on to tomorrow with 39k as the average. The chip leader holds about 140k and first pays nearly 600k. I have 104k. Huge laydowns seem to be the theme of the day today. I had to laydown QQ twice preflop within the last 2 levels and AA twice on the flop since dinner break. Luckily there was showdown on all of those hands to verify correct decisions. I feel like I'm playing near the top of my ability. I'm feeling confident of a deep run here.
And we are off. Day 2 of the 3k. Cards are in the air. Interesting table draw. I would imagine I have a top 25 stack, yet 3 players at my table have me covered. I have some very familiar faces at my table. There is only 2 players that I haven't played with before. This is a very tough draw and there will be no shortage of action here. Obviously I prefer to make deep runs, but I am a little bummed I can't play today's ante only tournament. I love playing new variations of poker, and this ante only variation just hit the poker scene in the last year or so and I've only had the chance to enjoy it twice before.
