The real tragedy of minimum wage laws is that they are supported by well-meaning groups who want to reduce poverty. But the people who are hurt most by high minimums are the most poverty stricken.” -- Milton Friedman

"logical fallacy"

It's funny watching the prepubescent troll trying to keep up in an adult conversation.

LMAO!!! The shit you guys believe is hilarious. Remember if it comes from conservatives, it most likely is a lie. This comes from the Cato Institute. Here is their criteria for EU countries with out minimum wage.

There are seven European Union (E.U.) countries in which no minimum wage is mandated (Austria, Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Italy, and Sweden). If we compare the levels of unemployment in these countries with E.U. countries that impose a minimum wage, the results are clear. A minimum wage leads to higher levels of unemployment. In the 21 countries with a minimum wage, the average country has an unemployment rate of 11.8%. Whereas, the average unemployment rate in the seven countries without mandated minimum wages is about one third lower — at 7.9%.

First off Germany does have a minimum wage, and those other countries set their minimum wages through collective bargaining agreements. Another patented Sheriff Joe logical fallacy!

Germany has a minimum wage as of exactly 3 weeks ago.

We're talking about government-mandated wages and the troll wants to bring "collective bargaining agreements" into the picture. Oh, and on the home front, some states have more population and higher incomes or something. face)(*^%

Remember, the data doesn't lie, only liberals do:

No problem with collective bargaining in a free market so long as the government stays out of it and doesn't pick sides, like they do in these socialist countries with high unemployment and stagnant economic growth.

Oh so now the socialist countries are bad. Just a minute ago you were showing how good they were because they didn't have a government mandated minimum wage! Got to make up your mind.

Oh boy...

Labor is nothing more than a product or service bought and sold in the marketplace. Your ignorant pony-tailed liberal arts college professor may have spent hours brainwashing you about "worker rights" and other Karl Marx fairy tales, but economically, anyone who has ever run a business will tell you that labor is nothing more than entry on an accounting ledger.

Once again, I have no issues with workers organizing using collective bargaining as leverage for higher wages, greater benefits etc. - all the power to them. So long as everything is voluntary and, absent a collective bargaining agreement which is a legally binding contract, either party has the right to walk away.

Anything beyond that (rat-maze akphidelt-onomics: government mandates playing favorites using the power of the ballot box to socially-engineer outcomes, enforced by the barrel of a government gun) upsets the economic apple-cart, which is why Volkswagen now has plants in Mexico and BMW manufactures their cars in SC, USA.

Aren't the laws of economics a bitch?

Well, your made up "laws of economics" are a bitch. Which is why no one in the developed world considers them to be serious. You tried to prove minimum wages make economies worse by showing a list of socialist countries that have mandated collective bargaining to determine minimum wages by industry. So pretty much all you showed was socialist countries have lower unemployment and you still don't realize why people consider you retarded.

Blah, blah, blah...

Newsflash: self-anointed economist is a total econ-illiterate. (Who knew?)

The data doesn't lie, only conservatives do. Just showing two lines on a graph with out any explanation is what economic illiterates do. It's already been shown to you that states with low populations tend to have lower unemployment rates. And 7 of the lowest unemployment rate states are 7 of the lowest population states making unemployment averages by state seriously skewed.

But you wouldn't understand that. That takes a senior level of high school education to understand.

And a survey of CFO's talking about wage increases??? LMAO!! Might as well use a Fox News poll to show if Obama is a good President or not.
