If you test drive a Tesla, my guess is that you'll buy one. The Model 3's aren't that expensive, considering how many years you'll get out of the car with zero maintenance or gas. They are truly impossibly great machines.

You couldn’t pay me to own one, they’re built with inferior components and put together like crap. If you insist on buying an all electric vehicle, one would be beneficial to wait a tad and the market will have way more and better options at the 3s price tag.

I ended up with a 2017 Mazda 6 Touring. Used car inventory is insanely low. But I test drove this car and really liked it. Plus, they gave me a good deal on extending the bumper-to-bumper warranty an extra 3 years, and the dealer is close to where I live, so I snagged it.

Great car and absolutely gorgeous for the price tag attached to it. They’re doing away with the 6 after this year, and the replacement has everyone shaking their head, in a good way. Rumors are a inline 6 with RWD and some assisted hybrid power. They’ve been upping going after the luxury market for a few years now, and this and the new CX models may surely do it...

That’s a solid car! I have the 2015. 205k miles and still going strong. Love it!

Thanks Will. I like the idea that it's totally covered for 5 years, oil changes and everything.

I think they changed the body style in 2018. I love the style of the 2015-2017. Most don’t know what it is. It resembles a Tesla, but more room.

I rode in the Tesla 5 or whatever it was. The back seat had very little head room

Both of the Tesla owners that I know have nothing but great things to say about them. After riding in one of them, I was super impressed. I'm curious as to what inferior components they have, and why you're so negative on quality control.

yeah, that's all i hear from owners, nuts . Was at the golf course Sunday ready to head home and noticed a dad and what appeared to be his son packing their bags into a Tesla. Asked him what his experience with the car was-- just shook his head and said 'how much time to you got?' lol. Yet another owner that raved about the car.

read the other day that Telsa cant produce to meet demand. They are outselling all premium brands in the US inclduing BMW, Audi, Mercedes.

one thing is for sure, electric has no where to go but up in terms of market share. See Ford's (went in heavy) stock chart, lol Battery costs r expected to drop as high as 80% over the next 10 years.

No knowledge about the quality of a Tesla, my guess is that it's pretty darn good

When the battery has a 1,000 mile range, I'll look at electric

Maybe I'm in the dark ages but I think its a little weird (on a Tesla) to have to use the touchscreen just to open the glove compartment. Some things are better done mechanically.

And I prefer the traditional dealership experience which Tesla doesn't embrace. I like to survey the lot inventory and go on a test drive with multiple cars

lol.

Tesla quality and inferior components are dead last in all auto makers. The quality is so shitty, even Elon Musk himself has admitted it is a problem.

Most people that own them don’t know shit about cars and only own them for the social status, like most of the fake Christians that go to church on Sundays just to say they do. It’s sad, but true.

Tesla’s are highly overrated and just a step above pure junk. But buy one, others do simply to say they did. Doesn’t hurt my feelings, like stated, you couldn’t pay me to own one, any electric for the matter. Never have, and hopefully I never have to, either…

i think there's a tiny car on the market/production that can do it , ha!! Seems far fetched but with countries setting dates to abandon the sale of fossil fuel vehicles it seems plausible as more incentive/ monies into the sector

Norway will be the first country to end the sale of fossil fuel cars by 2025. Geez, that's around the corner! Odd in that Norway is a huge oil/gas producer. I think about 12 USA states have set dates (2035 i believe) ? just going off the top of my head

Everyone who I speak to that owns a Tesla, tells me how much they love it. Now its funny what you said about not knowing shit about cars b/c yes, they are really big car aficionados.

Part of me is thinking about getting one for my next car (i am a few years away).

What would you recommend that so much better? (i dont know much about cars)

I should have said a 1,000 mile range for a 5,500 lb luxury SUV with a third row :)

Something not made in America, and outside of Germany and China, is a great start…

Both the wife and I have only driven Japanese cars.

However I'm not ruling out Tesla or Lexus for the next car but i have plenty of time

Not a fan of the Lexus new look, front end is almost hideous, think the Tesla could use some upgrading in the styling department as well. The new BMW electric is about as ugly as it gets, though…

Japanese cars are the best made, hands down, so is just about anything Japanese engineering touches, love
my Japanese golf clubs as well. If I can buy Japanese anything, I will…

Japan is golf crazy, fanatical golf country and certainly leaders in golf equipment, the full gamut - balls, irons, woods, shafts. Play the Srixon irons (z585s) and they are just butter . But the Americans also are big producers of quality clubs. Taylormade SIM woods (driver/fairway woods) from a yr ago was a major jump up in tech., it quickly found the bag of many tour players even those without a TM contract esp the fairway wood (the SIM2 , adds more forgiveness but with more spin.. isnt a leap fro better players, imo). The best driver to buy off a rack for the casual golfer (i think one would be crazy to buy a driver off a rack rather than be fitted , esp., given current massive price increases) is made by an American company -- the Ping G425 Max .

dont like the Srixon woods at all. have heard a lot of good things about the new Mizuno woods

one very underated American company is Tour Edge , moreso for their woods/hybrids

I play a mixture of the new Srixon Z4-7 (custom fitted). These clubs are so hot, they smash the ball (Srixon Z Star) like crazy. I now use their golf gloves too, they’re cheaper and better also imo…I do play TM SIM Woods, though, with extra stiff shafts. Up next is 3 new wedges, most likely Cleveland (owns Srixon now) to complete the package. I have a Z585 3 wood, but I can’t hit it consistently, but it does have the wrong shaft in it for me, so not entirely the clubs fault.

I love Mizuno as well. The 921s I can really hit well too, actually loved them, but the Srixon just feel a little better to me now, and they’re a tad more forgiving and 1-2 clubs longer for me. They’re by far still great clubs though, and I would still chose them over anything American, although my playing partner plays TM 770s and can hit them a mile. They’re good too. We both have close to pro level swing, club head, and ball speeds, though…

I agree with the Ping, I’ve been tempted to give that club a go. Haven’t liked Ping since the Black Eye 2 days before now, though…

Srixon will take over the game of golf if folks will give them a chance. My fitter isn’t partial nor does he try to sell one or a certain brand, and everyone he says since March when they came out that didn’t have to have a certain make of club have bought the Srixons. Luckily I bought mine before Hideki won with them so I wasn’t “that guy”. Lol

I'm not saying you're wrong, but you are just an internet poster, and there was a poster on here yesterday trying to act like he knew what he was talking about saying Bitcoin is going down because it went up with the stimulus checks and retail investors are going on vacations now and selling. LMFAO.

I guess you know cars, so maybe point me in the direction of how to research and find out what you know. My buddy that owns the Tesla I rode in says there is a massive team up in the auto industry to destroy the narrative of Tesla and EV's because of the disruption of the industry. A conspiracy, if you will. I really want to buy one, not because of the social status.....the last thing I want is to bring attention to myself as I'm just sitting at a stoplight. I just think the horsepower, the ride, the self-driving, the no maintenance and gas costs....it all adds up to something I want. I have never really wanted a material possession before. Not because I'm a super Christian, just because I'm boring.

Can you link me to where Elon talked about the quality problems? Thanks.
