Churchill - Race 5
#2 Indulgence (7/2 ml)
Macho Uno filly tied for the fastest one-furlong breeze at the March Ocala sale (9.4), and note that Bridgmohan winds up here, despite the fact that Asmussen has a entrant that's 3/1 on the morning line. Expecting a good run from this one.
Hollywood - Race 1
#6 Good Time Sally (7/2 ml)
Gave this filly out last time, and she ran a big race over the course to just miss by a head coming off a year's layoff. Walsh is 2-for-6 with horses making their second start of a 6-month-or-greater layoff, and note that Bejarano gets on board today, signifigant because he's hitting 26% for Walsh with a nice flat-bet profit from 42 starters. Also note that the other two times Bejarano has ridden this horse, she missed by a nose each time to the excellent stakes horses Lethal Heat and Ginger Pop. And one of those races came second time off the layoff, same situation as today. Should run a solid race here.
Hollywood - Race 9
#2 Whatsthescript (3/1 ml)
Multiple graded-stakes winner for Sadler came off the layoff @ Hollywood last year (around this same time of year) to run one of the biggest races i saw all of last year. Just sat chilly on the rail before coming out for some room in the lane and just exploding late to win in super-impressive fashion. Watch the replay if you can (June 28). Really thought he was the best US-based turf miler last year, and he didn't do much to change that iopinion in the Breeders Cup Mile, checking in third behind the freakish filly Goldikova. That race may have knocked him out a little, or he may possibly have injured himself during that race, as he disappeared thereafter and doesn't return until today. Been training very strongly for his return though, and Sadler is a master with these classy layoff types, particularly on grass. Meets a very tough field here, but certainly one he can handle, clearly loves the course and distance, and is capable of firing a huge shot off the bench. He also figures to be overlooked just a bit with Ventura in the race. Should be favored here but probably won't be.
