not even at the Super Bowl can the chap be decent, respectful. Mr.Lynch the career of an NFL player is rather short. In due time no one will give a fuck as to what you have to say, .............. you'll see...:)

Marshawn Lynch has a net worth of $20+ million and donates all of the proceeds from the sale of "Beast Mode" merchandise to charities, while also maintaining a role as one of the most active charitable members of the NFL in the Oakland area for at risk kids. But you are right, no one gives a fuck what he has to say.

Marshawn Lynch has a unique talent for making certain people very angry. They don't like the way he dresses, in cleats that gleam like rare coins. They hate the way he celebrates, his hands invariably reaching for his family jewels. Worst of all, though, is his refusal to engage with the press, an act that spurred one journalist to call him a "disrespectful, unprofessional dick." Over the last two seasons, Lynch has been fined $100,000 for failing to comply with the league's mandate that players talk to reporters; if he stays mum on media day, he could incur another massive penalty. Beast Mode's silence has come at a great cost.

It's also made him the most popular running back in the NFL.

that's fantastic . And may he continue to help his fellow man . And may the youth that look up to him see thru his lack of decency when being respectfully addressed by the media , forgive , and not do same.

Media and respectful shouldn't be used in the same sentence

He did. It was the most truthful answer an athlete ever gave the media. And he's making bank off his act now. The guy is a brilliant businessman, or whoever is advising him is. He's the Brock Lesnar of the NFL. He only talks when paid big $$$$ by companies paying him to do so, much like Brock doesn't wrestle on Free TV, only PPV's.

some of you guys get way to worked up over this shit. Like it effects your life in any way. You're losing nights sleep over the reporters who can't get generic answers to their boring retread questions. Anybody getting pissed about Marshawn not answering properly is jealous they aren't in a position where they can pull the same act. I dont need to read another there is shit in my job I dont like I dont get to ignore it post, when you're as good at your real job as he is, you can get away with doing this. This is the value of being elite and whether you think hes unintelligent or whatever names you want to hurl at him he is elite at a profession few can do, there is a value in that. Until the nfl starts threatening to take him off the field which is his real job in his eyes and most of us with common sense, he can pay the fine and move on his choice. When it affects his job then its gone too far.

ah, let's see-- SO if you're 'elite in your chosen profession' you have certain liberties :), you can get away with a lack of decency, respect, acting as an idiot. Correct? Thankfully, most 'elite' in other professions don't see it that way.

if the NFL deems these preesers important and that members of THEIR league should act professionally, at the very least decent rather than mock the hand that feeds you , then they havent implemented a strong enough deterrent to Mr.Lynch. Perhaps fine him 60% of gross income. I ask you, any chance this 'elite athlete ' changes his behavour at future press conferences? :) I got a hunch its a yes....just a hunch :)...of course this 'elite athlete ' may get upset and make a vocational change-- perhaps pediatrics? law? 7-Eleven attendant ?

Exactly!! What's the difference with Bellichicks presses when he feels like giving nothing? Or Jim Harbaugh after a loss? He's worse.

But Marshawn has no class??? Get the fuck outta here.

Nope, this is simply my rooting interest this Super Bowl. If it makes you feel better, I hope Brady's knees are missing as well. I want lots and lots of injuries. I want Russell Wilson's 5'8" in height injury to occur when he runs.

You would probably miss the point if it hit you squarely in the face. The NFL can set clear, appropriate and detailed punishment or sanction against it's workforce, and if a player like Marshawn violates the rules, he must pay his fines in accordance with those rules. We don't need to hear your ridiculous take on the situation.

If you go 50 mph in a 35 and get a speeding ticket, the law would have you pay your $200 ticket. If you choose to speed again and get caught for doing 45 in a 35 mph zone, we can't arbitrarily expect that your fine should now be $50,000. Fining him 60% of his gross income is unrealistic and frankly makes you look stupid.

given this response you really should't be calling others 'stupid'.

Your analogy to speeding is a foolish one.

It's up to the NFL to decide if they are cool with one of ITS MEMBERS acting as such. If not, clearly the current deterrent isn't high enough for Mr.Lynch

I like your comparison/analogy. But I disagree w/ the bottom line. The fact is if you speed enough and get caught at some point you're going to lose your license. Driving is a privalege and so is playing in the NFL.

The reason he makes the salary is because of the law of "supply and demand". It's a "fans" league and he's basically telling the fans (via the media) to go F themselves.

The rules are set....and his player's union agreed to them. He gets paid the ridiculous sum he does because of the demand driven by the fans. The fans want to hear what he has to say and he's telling them (and the NFL) to go F off.

It's reached a point where he's violating the union contract and he should be suspended. He should act like he understands it's not his god-given right to play in the NFL. It's a business and if an employee of a business acts like that they usually will get fired or suspended (or fined).

He's been caught "speeding" now dozens of times.....it's time he lose his license to drive!
