Wrong. No NFL GM would pick Mac Jones and Zach Wilson over Trevor Lawrence. None. Not yesterday, not today, not tomorrow. None.

You might be right, but now that we have seen them play, IMO Jones is definitely the one to go first, now, and it'd be close for #2, I would lean to Wilson.

Lawrence #3. Fields looks like someone who will be a "project" but could be a good one, I have not heard much about Lance, though he played yesterday... but taking a small school guy who played so little was a huge risk IMO.

Look at the situations they are each in though. Lawrence and Wilson are both in awful situations, though Wilson I think would've struggled on Day 1 no matter where he went. Lawrence is starting to settle in a little bit

Mac came into the best situation. Put him on the Jets or Jags and he would be struggling more. And it's not like he has been that good either. He definitely has the best command of his offense so far, and he played a nice game last night, but the first three games were nothing to write home about. He definitely would not have been the right pick at #3

IMO the best QB to come from this draft will be Lance or Fields. I think we may finally be able to see Lance play a bit with Jimmy out.

Re draft: Jones would be 1st QB, Wilson #2...

Keep laughing.

Jones will be a very successful NFL QB. 19 straight completions last night (in his fourth professional game) should give you a clue. When was the last rookie QB to do that? Correct. None ever have.

He is incredibly accurate, moves well in the pocket, seems to be able to make all the throws accurately, and goes through his progressions. Right now he has a lower level offensive line as his left tackle (his most important O lineman) has been out for all but the first half of the first game this year. His elite receiver(s) are who?

We are ecstatic in New England, the home of the GOAT (I know you hate acknowledging that). TB2 is in training.

When the other four taken before him pass him as NFL QBs let us know. Oh, and keep laughing.

Maybe one day BB will take the training wheels off him and let him go for it on 4th and 3 .
And once again LOL on him being the 1st pick of the draft if they did a redraft .

100% positive that Lawrence would still go #1 and I doubt NY and SF would change their pick either at this point

Let me ask you this .

If you were Pats GM would you accept a trade Lawrence for Jones ?

When a guy is showing you everything you want to see, why would you even consider moving on from him?

So you are saying no you would not trade Jones for Lawerence ?

From where I sit, the Patriots would keep Jones, based on the physical performance against a top D like TB, with no running game to protect him PLUS the detailed overview presented about him during the game re his intelligence, work ethic, and team leadership.

I do not know as much about Lawrence, maybe he is dynamic in those categories, too, but I doubt he is equal, and his performance on the field does not appear to be top notch. Yes, he is playing for a struggling team and a ??? head coach.

Sure, it is a bit early to make decisions but IMO Jones is #1 in the QB rookie class at this point.

They would keep Jones, but they would not draft him if they had a top 2-3 pick
