I understand that. But again, what does Dan Snyder, the Redskins organization, and how they drafted 10 years ago have to do with the 49ers organization and how they operate?
Dan Snyder is not the owner of the 49ers. The owner(s) of the 49ers call the shots for the 49ers. John Lynch is the 49ers GM, and was hired to make personnel decisions for the team. I'm sure the head coach has some input. But if you think the 49ers give two shits about what Washington did in the draft 10 years ago and how it ultimately turned out, and think it might influence who ultimately gets to make their decision in this year's draft, then you are clueless.
Maybe John Lynch is letting Shanahan pick his guy. But that's a different story. And has nothing to do with the Redskins.
And if that were true, then Kyle flunked his first go round with the Niners. That would mean Jimmy G was his guy. And now after 3 years of Jimmy G, he's already wanting to move off him. If Shanahan made that call, and paid him all that money, then he's 0-1 shopping for the groceries at that position as a head coach.
