They both can jump out of the rim, they both can rebound and assist, they both play solid defense but Jordan more so as he was All-Defensive team every year.

But a couple of the key things Jordan had that Lebron doesn't have and probably never will:

Jordan had a killer outside shot... Lebron does not

Michael Jordan did it ALL
If God ever made the perfect basketball player, it was him.

Jordan had an unstoppable post-up game..... Lebron does not

All Lebron basially does is drive and dunk..... drives and layup.......

And all of those last second shots Lebron always misses............ Jordan usually hit them

The CLOSEST we've seen to even make comparisons to Jordan is Kobe Bryant, before he started fading recently...

Lets focus on the real issue at hand here. Hache tried to somehow pretend MoW/Jamison were equivalent to Rodman/Pippen. I don't really care about the MJ vs best player in the NBA X argument (Duncan, Kobe, Shaq, Bron, whoever) but we might have to put Hache in an insane asylum if he thinks moW and jamison are even remotely equivalent to rodman/pippen. Pippen or Rodman have more talent in their pinky than mo or jamison in their body.

MJ without Pippen did squat.

Lebron with a cast of sub par par players went to a finals.

Fact.

Few things wrong with this argument. First of all when Jordan was playing on the Bulls they were playing in a loaded eastern conference every year. The eastern conference that the Cavs played in the year they went to finals could possibly be the worst conference in the history of basketball. Jordan was playing against the great Celtic team and the great Piston teams. The cavs were really good back then too. The Hawks back then with Wilkins were better than they are today. You can't compare the 2 eras. The Knicks were great in the 90's. The Heat were great.

Lebron's supporting cast right now has 1 player better than Pippen ever was (Wade) and another player about as good as Pippen (Bosh). Remember that Pippen is only considered one of the all time greats because he has 6 championships. In reality he was a great defensive player and a good offensive player. No way was he an all time great. Look at what he did without Jordan. His numbers are nowhere close to Wade's numbers without Lebron (or with Lebron). And they are the same as Bosh's numbers now that Bosh is the 3rd option.

Jordan became the best player of all time right about the same time the Bulls acquired Pippen.

If you simply would have added Bosh to Wade, the Heat would have been contenders for the championship this year. In my opinion, Lebron is not nearly as hard to stop offensively as Wade is. Wade is far more explosive off the dribble. Jordan was the hardest player to stop in NBA history. He was also the best defensive player in the league.

The last team to come back from 15 in the 4th in the finals was Jordan and the Bulls.

I would feel way more comfortable with the statement "Lebron is the next Magic"
LBJs game is far more similar to Earvin's than it is to MJs

Atleast LeBron didn't marry his girl and will never have to give her 1/2.

Also he is probably a better gambler by default!

pippen was a top 50 player. Mj did great with him on the court. Without him, not so great.

Wade is also a top 50 player, lebron does great with him on the court. Without wade (cavs) lebron had the best regular season record one year and went to a finals another year.

Mj had a damn fine cast with the bulls. Luke longley, armstrong, kerr, horace grant was a fine player too as was paxton. It wasn't like it was mj & pippen and chopped liver out there. Toss in a sure fire hof coach............ The bulls were loaded for bear, we know that.

I guess the biggest thing in my mind was that mj had 3 years in nc under another hof coach to play against the top players in college prior to going to the nba, and once mj got to the nba, look at the results his first few years prior to pippen. Nothing to brag about for sure. Lebron at age 19 shows up fresh from his senior prom and right off that bat the cavs a much better team, and lebron is scoring 25 a night. At age 19.

Give this south beach thing 3-4 years, and i think lebron will erase all doubt that he has a better all around game then mj. Mike due to his body shape looked "sleak" looked like he was flying. Lebron is bulky, doesn't look quick, but watch the players around him as they go up and down the court. Lebron runs away from them. He has very long strides.

in a game of one on one, lebron would smash mj like a bug. He covers as much court as quickly as mj, and is twice as strong.

bwahahahaahhaahahaahahahahaahahaahahahaahahahaahahaha

loved the video.

a few years in march madness playing for a quality coach being "the man" would have probably helped lbj learn to close big time games.

Biggest different between Lebron and Jordan was heart and will to win. About 90% of the finals Lebron look like he wasnt even trying. Talent wise Lebron 'could' have more talent than Jordan, but who cares how much talent you have if you dont perform. 10 out of 10 times Lebron it the most talented player on the court. 6 out of 10 times he is the best player. Jordan 10 out of 10 times was the most talented and 10 out of 10 times was the best player. . . bottom line no comparison
