That's ashamed , if that's true Doug's name will not be found in the ' book of life ' come judgment day & he will spend eternity in hell ( think about that ) it may seem a harsh thing to say but this is for those of us still living ...... something to think about ?

nice job finding that one, that made me alot of money over the years. I never knew this was possible, and all the books allowed it. Some still do but some are not allowing parlay's anymore with Bonus Play. BOL comes to mind when I say this..

I bought an old sports pager from doug back when I first signed up here. He had posted he had one he got for free but did not use. I offered him like $50 bucks for it and he sold it to me. I talked to him on the phone for a few minutes and he seemed like a good guy. So sad to see him pass.

also i remember him posting in ebonics for a while, those were some really funny posts...I think his last post makes me think he was going covid crazy or something similar. The isolation can have devastating effects on some people.

I am working towards a MA in theology, and am well versed in this discussion. It is quite a stretch, and I would say revisionist history to claim that
Universalism was the prevailing doctrine of the early church. There were a few that held to it, but it was far from "prevailing." The ante-nicene
father Origen is probably the most famous adherent.

That being said, the modern doctrine of "hellfire and brimstone" has more roots in Dante's Inferno than it has in Judeo-Christian thought.
