Wasn't he not that old? (early 60s?)....one of his fav topics seemed to be what state to retire to so assumed he wasn't that up there

RIP
Yes. if i remember correctly he was 63. Strange Dude but a good strange if you know what i mean. A real character. interesting guy posted a variety of subjects. Seemed very honest about himself in his posts talking about life. Places he lived, relationships with women, Jobs, you know life.

Did he die from cirrhosis? He mentioned Makers Mark. I used to drink that bourbon before going to Woodford. Hard to quit

He was one of the original people I remember reading here.

Seemed like a decent guy with a respectable opinion about much of life's obstacles.

RIP Doug

he had a great post on here about how to break out a 100% Bonus Play into 8 3 teamers and turn the Bonus Play into 70% cash. That post should be in the classic threads sectioned. that was the best option for me when getting a Bonus Play from a deposit bonus. Turns it into cash

Did he die from cirrhosis?

Did the guy every talk about being sick or in poor health? Someone said he posted last at the beginning of August. So not too long ago.

If he was a heavy drinker for years, my guess is he probably had a sudden massive stroke. Either that or a heart attack.

Drinking is the devil, if you can’t control it. I remember knocking down a 5th a night with ease and there where multiple beer chasers in between. RIP Doug

I doubt he died of liver disease related to drinking because in all the years I do not recall him talking about drinking and he seemed to be very honest - sorry to hear about his death
