I am not looking to get out of a bet that I am likely to lose. In my mind I am still likely to win. You may have noticed that the polls are tight as ever. How am I likely to lose just because others think that?

I am getting out BEFORE THERE IS ANY DEFINITION AS TO WHO WILL WIN THE ELECTION because the guy who I bet with has uncharacteristically gone AWOL.

I will make the same bet right now with anyone here up until 6:00 tonight if that person can get a respected poster to vouch for them on the honor system. I think I am going to win. I want to get paid.

I AM NOT AFRAID OF LOSING. I AM AFRAID OF NOT GETTING PAID WHEN I WIN.

He's obviously not seeing this, so making some artificial deadline is meaningless, and just a further attempt to perpetrate a stiff job of an agreed to bet. Disgraceful.

You gave him your word that you had a bet and the bet wasn't contingent on a settleup.

So him going awol changes the bet? I agree he looks like a clown but you shouldn't have put that trust in him if not posting for a week raised suspicious for you. I really think you have to own it now.
