Best route here is to avoid lawyers altogether . He makes right or he doesn’t
100% in agreement. Throwing good money after bad money is always something you shouldn't do. Let's say you do get this set up and he defaults, then what? More money spent for crumbs.

Keep a running thread elsewhere that it won't get deleted that you can post and keep it updated of when payment due and if it was paid or not. He can join in on that thread and explain why it wasn't paid if it gets to that.

Save your money !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, let's be honest. He doesn't seem like the sharpest tool in the shed. So not surprising he would go that route.

This story is pretty darn close to not believable. Some moderator (who is probably paid very little, if any) on a dying message board agrees to bail out another moderator (a guy he's never met) to the tune of 30k?

LOL. What? There certainly are a lot of dumb people in this world...

The fact that he acknowledged that the $28k or whatever left would go such a long way in improving his life right/would impact his future makes the whole scenario almost unbelievable.

If $30k can make such a difference in your life, then you shouldn't be lending anyone even $1k.

Nothing personal against the guy (he seems like a good guy who was trying to do a great deed), but damn!

He was flush with bitcoin and BAS was flaunting over the years was a high roller at the Mirage. Everything was comped went a couple times a year and blah blah blah. The sad part is Defying stated his bitcoin would of been 6 figures by now and l believe him.

The fact that he dipped into his bitcoin investment makes it even more mind-boggling to me

Not trying to pour salt into the wounds, because it is a sad story if 100% accurate

"I'm going to withdraw from a serious investment to pay contest winners at a gambling forum and risk the value of investment growing x-fold and likely not be able to recapture that value once I'm paid back"

I was involved with this a few years ago as a winner of one of the contests BAS was slow-paying.

Defying I hope you are made whole with this and BAS I hope you get back on your feet.

Sure but I would you hope if you have that investment that you also can get 30k in cash elsewhere pretty easily without losing a dollar of an investment.

People can spend their money the way I want to I guess, but god damn this was beyond stupid

There’s rumors circulating that Defying booked (and maybe still does) many posters here. If true, it’s not too far of a leap from there to consider he was booking some of these posters he bailed out.

If true, I would imagine he made a decent portion of that back off their business. Of course that in no way would absolve BAS of his debt.

Again, just rumors. If there is no validity to Defying booking posters here, he can easily come in and squash that talk with a denial.

Hahahaha
I'm gonna throw an unsubstantiated rumor out there, and if he doesn't explicitly refute it, it must be true.

Where do these people come from?

It’s actually substantiated from a good source. He’s welcome to refute it.

And we all know what kind of forum this is. So it’s not like it would be a shocker.

Idiot.

I assumed Defying had his own sheet of players, and thought that BAS might have gotten him into the business. However, besides RX contests, I haven't ever done any business with either of them.

Why would you put this out on the open forum? Has nothing to do with it
