Was at Caesers in 2005 with a friend & his wife. My friend was always getting comped & he was plating in the back room at the roulette table for high rollers.
A guy about his mid 50's sat down next to us.......he pulled $5,000 from his pants pocket & proceeded to lose it within 15 minutes, then pulled out another $5,000 & lost that within 15 to 20 minutes.
Then he got credit & borrowed $10,000 & lost that, then borrowed another $10,000 & lost that.......then borrowed $5,000 & with his last $2,000, stuck $1,000 on #32 & #00..........boom, #32 comes in & he wins back every dollar.......he paid back his markers & he got up & left.......during all this time, I never seen a mans face so red from stress. He was majorly relieved. I'm assuming he was taking a shot & probably couldn't bad afford to lose the money.
I ended up making $700 & my friend lost $5,000.......don't know what his wife did as she was playing slots.
Also knew a guy (he's passed away a while back) that won over 1 million at the Taj at black jack, lost it all & more next couple trips.
Its hard to beat casino games. Only thing beatable IMO is sports, & a horse race if you're on the inside of a fix (meaning shooting up a horse)......winning 100k at the window, & who cares if you're gonna lose the purse money for $8,000 after the test the horse.
