Working nights as a slot attendant, at a casino I had previously been a dealer. Pretty quiet, and I hear that a woman just hit a straight flush at Carribbean poker. That gets her 10% of the bonus pot, which worked out to be about $11,000. So, it takes about 45 minutes to pay her. This is very normal, as they review the tapes and such.

They change the cards, and begin play again after she is paid. Very first hand, same woman gets a royal flush, worth $100,000. I can't even fathom the odds of that happening to one person.

this has to be one of the best if not the best story so far....

like you said...what are the odds..

Some people have all the luck!!!!!!!!!!!!

I decided to quit my underpaid job at a poker affiliate to play poker for a living (was doing quite well playing $1-$2 here in CR with a $2000 bankroll) That same day went to a friend's house to party, deposited $25 and ran it up to $1400 in about 5 hours at FullTilt, started playing $0.10-$0.25... then $0.25-$0.50 and so on until I entered a $2-$4 crazy table with the whole $1400 at 3am... got crippled in about half an hour when my QQ went all in on the flop against a suited AK... he got the flush on the river... proceeded to puke in the balcony... deposited $500 more and lost it all playing poorly and fast paced. Continued to drink and snort for like 7 hours until I decided it was time to hit downtown SJ for some live table action... bought $100 worth of coke to ensure I would stay awake and went to play at the horseshoe and after 3 hours or so I had recovered my $500 I lost online... moved to the Colonial in front where bigger stacks are common, entered with my $500 and ran it up to $858 after a few hands (less than an hour) when the following hand took place: I had J-J UTG and raised to $30 (average initial raise was $20-$40), 5 people amazingly called making the pot $180 already. Flop came 3-5-7 rainbow, speaking first I made an awful play and went all-in. for my remaining $828. Got called by a regular on middle position and I knew I was fucked when he called so sure of himself, a flopped straight with 4-6. All table cringed as the turn brought the J... we all chuckled and the river came the 5 to give me a full boat for a terrible bad beat to the regular player. raked in $1836 in that hand... proceeded to celebrate in the restroom at the del rey and went to look for some girls, took 3 colombian girls for the nite and woke up with the $500 I initially meant to recover, and some change.

Bought some Wendy's and came back to my friends house to tell the tale.

Great story - -what a run at cards!!!!!!!!!

The only memorable casino story I have is the first time I took a bus ride down to Atlantic City and was given a roll of quarters as part of the bus promotion. I told my friends that I would see them at the tables after I got rid of the quarters in the slot machines. Actually to be accurate this was my first time in a casino ever. I stayed at the slots for the complete duration of the bus trip which had to be for a decent amount of hours. I emptied the machine twice and did not even realize that the cups that people were carrying around was for transporting the coins to cash out. I pulled the lever so many times that I actually threw my neck out. I made $600 by the time I got on the bus. I was up plenty more earlier but did not have brains to figure out "how do I get all these quarters to the cashiers"? I got to feel pretty good later on when everyone boarded the bus and the guy who was running the trip asked for hands as to who had won for the day and myself and one other person out of 35 raised their hands. I swear I never had another winning day at a casino for the rest of my life. Incredibly efficient lifetime loser.

For some reason I am thinking it was "The Sands". I remember getting off the bus and thinking "Wow, this place is really nice". I was later informed that the place was a dump and only new fish like myself ever were impressed with the place or ever went back there...Speaking of beginners luck, I remember a person I worked with. Female, head of Human Resouces or whatever they call it now, and she went to a concert at the Mohegan Sun and her boyfriend dragged her into the casino after the concert and said "Come on". "Spend ten bucks while the cars clear out". She crowbarred a ten out of her wallet and got a role of quarters. She peeled the paper and took two quarters, put them in a machine, spun the new fish dial and hit for $2500. We were sitting in her office on Monday while she shared her story and she grabbed her handbag and took out a roll of quarters with one end nibbled away and two quarters missing. She took her $2500 and $9.50 in quarters and left after she hit. It was the first time she had gambled on anything besides lottery. I remember at the time I was taking some heavy losses with sports betting and was pretty much in shock that someone could be so lucky and even more surprised that she gave nothing back.

Poker story:

Two guys were going back n forth all day with each other....non stop remarks, even personal at times. Well, long story short....one got all his money in, heads up against the other.....the other sat there and wouldnt make a decision until a clock was called. The floor gets down to 3 seconds and the guy stalling turns over quads. the other guy tried to get at him ....crazy scene trying to hold the guy back.

I'd be willing to bet that most people had some of their best "luck" the first time they went to a casino than all the rest of the times... bizarre!!!!!!!

The year was 1995 and the month was October.
i had been going through a long spell of depression where I just didnt care about anything.
Within the last 20 months I have moved moved from a small city to Atlanta, got into sales
became a sales manager for the company making 3x more money than I had ever made, bought my first house,
drove a very expensive car, had multiple girlfriends, had a very big head and matching ego,

quitting the mgt position cuz I was too good to work for "peanuts", went back into sales, lost my mojo
started making less and less, caring less and less, car got repo'd (went back to driving old Corolla I never sold)

got 3 months past due on house note, behind on payments on my plethora of credit cards, banging the ones that did have
lines until they started singing the declined blues on the printer and slowly but surely hawking all my shit when those lines ran out, getting the lights turn off and
taking cold showers every morning then heading to bars to drink.^<<^

So One day I get home to the dark house and check the mail and what do I see besides bills, a check for $1200. It was a 401k disbursement
from my old company in the small city. You are supposed to do something with the money when you leave but I never did
and finally they kicked me out the program and sent the disbursement. Great now I can get some utilities turned on:dancefool

Yeah right. I saw this as my chance. Within 30 minutes of seeing that check I decided that I would finally visit Las Vegas.
I literally left the house with the clothes on my back, went to the check cashing joint down the street and headed
to the airport with $1164, Bought a one way ticket to LV for around $300 and arrived in town with less than $900 and my drivers license.

I havent been this excited in such a loooong time. Ill never forget seeing the lights for the first time...dbanana0-9
I have no idea how long I can stay here with so little money, dont forget that I will need $300 for airfare to back home
Driver, take me to the Excaliber...

Let me go ahead and disclose the details of exactly how I lost my phone at the Wynn Casino spoertsbook 2 weeks ago. So I had been sitting in one of the cubbie holes that are usually reserved for the horse players, but I liked the tv right there and I can change channels to whatever hockey game I had action on. I had been sitting in that book for 4 days straight practically drinking vodka lemonades non stop. I had made an acquaintance who had been sitting next to me each day. Dude in his mid 30, s that played horses. Well, he was kinda big action player. He would place 4k in bets daily and he didn't drink so all of his drinkntickets he woj me lay on my table after place I bets. It was on a Saturday and I had been drink in heavy all day. I me to one a dude in another thread that was big on NAB and had got my attention with his solid wagers. He gave me a 4 team 4 point parlay earlier in the day. Anyway, a black dude walked by and ask me for a cigarette. I gave him one. A couple hours later the last NBA game was coming down to the wire and my other 3 plays had already hit. Did I mention I was hammered? So the game ends and I thought I had lost and ripped my ticket up into about 20 pieces and threw it in the trash nearby. Then I got to thinking, fuck I had an extra 4 points. That damn ticket hit, but I had thrown it away. So I go up to the ticket window and plead my case. The guy asked me where the ticket was and in said trash. He said he could look it up but wanted to know the window I got it at and time. I had placed 10 bets that day so I had no idea. He said it would be a lost ticket if he could find it , but was unlikely. I had only 1 option and that was to find the pieces and out them back together. It was $200 to win $480 so I said fuck it and started going through the trash at the Wynn. People all around, but I didn't give a fuck. There wasn't much trash in there so I gathered my pieces and started piecing them together at the window. Guys behind counter looking at me like this dudes hammered. It was like a jigsaw puzzle. Anyway, the manager yells out I found your ticket. I was like fuck yeah dude that awesome!!! Then he went on to say well I found it, but its a loser. I was mistaken that it hit and was like fuvk dude sorry to waste talks time. Anyway, I get back to my cubbie and my buddy says hey that dude you gave cugerette too took a drinkntivket of yours. I said who gives a hit. 15 minutes later I realize it was my phone. The dude must have seen me digging in the trash and thought this is a great opportunity to snag a phone. Live and learn.

Enjoy the ghetto. If you want to visit a real casino, Four Winds isn't too far down the road.
