Lebron isn't the best player in the NBA...but neither is Kobe.

Kobe is the most talented player, for sure, but the best? No.

I really have to disagree with you here skins... look at the talent Lebron had when he came into the league.. he was already a 20ppg scorer AS A ROOKIE! Compare that to the progression that Kobe had to work on every offseason to get to where he is now.. Talent is what is given to you when you are born..Kobe had to work his ass of to have all the skills he has now

All these guys are great players - at the end of the day Tim Duncan gives your team the best chance to win a ring and would be every GM's first choice - the only possible comparison would be a prime Shaq.

LeBron is definitely on his way to being the one of the
top 3 players of all time.

He hasnt proven ANYTHING yet... it is WAY too early to make that assumption.. this guy doesnt play a lick of defense and is afraid to take the last shot.. how can a player with those qualities even be considered for top 3

3. Like ricecooker said, LOOK at Lebron's team compared to Kobe's. He has a former all star in Ilgauskas, as well as two big scorers in Hughes and Flip Murray.. Hughes averaged 22 ppg in washington, while if some of you remember in the 03-04 season when Ray allen got injured Flip averaged 20+ points for the first stretch of the season until Allen got back.. Not to mention Drew gooden who averaged 11/8 compared to the pathetic kwame brown who struggled to average 7/6.. Not to mention two veteran point guards (snow, jones) that have been deep in the playoffs (at least the conference finals) compared to the inexperice of Smush Parker and Sasha Vujacic (who both have never been to the playoffs coming into this postseason)

Kobefan-- NO need to be in denial here. I love KOBE with the best of them, but right now Lebron is carrying his team on his back against, supposively the best team in basketball. That says a HELL of a lot in my opinioin....

ok I'm being dead serious, if you really watched the game... detroit losing had more to do with detroit playing at 65% these last 3 games then Lebrons dominance.. Im sure anyone that bet the pistons these last few games will tell you that (I did).. I mean I was watching the game today and Detroit was playing pathetic.. They even admitted they just didnt show up

I agree with this. LeBron is playing the Pistons!!! The
Damn Pistons!! And he is doing all the right things to
help his team win. He hasn't even reached his prime yet!!

I agree Lakers w/o Kobe would of won 11 games for the season.

But LeBron has really impressed me, and the Cavs will now
be a serious contender for years to come.:toast:

Yea guys im not tryin to get into a heated argument of any sort, just having a good discussion here...but you guys have to admit that everyone is crowning Lebron as the next savior of the world without having really acomplished anything

SERIOUSLY you guys have to admit, if Lebron averaged 35/5/5, had an 81 point game and 62 in 3q, named all NBA first team defense, all NBA first team AND was as clutch as Kobe then 99% of the basketball watching population would have already crowned him as G.O.A.T

Kobe is the best player in the league.

Right now he is better than Lebron. He is a more dominant offensive player + a better defender. He is also more clutch. He beats him in all 3 catagories.

I think when its all over Lebron might end up being the better player and the best. But it to soon to say...

At the rate LBJ is improving he might surpass him sooner then later.

I like Lebron, but I wish he would A) stop biting his damn nails and B) start being more consistant on his free throws. Every time there's a technical and I watch Donyell Marshall shooting the free throw I want to throw something at the t.v. You're telling me that THAT guy is the team's best foul line shooter? You have to be shitting me.
