You are out of ur mind... Lebron DOESNT GET THE CHANCE TO HIT GAME WINNERS BECAUSE HE IS A STUD? did u wake up retarded this morning? that means ur saying that Kobe was nobody when he hit all his game winners.. I GUESS KOBE WAS JUST A ROLE PLAYER TO THE WORLD IN GAME 4 AGAINST PHX WHEN HE HIT THAT GAME WINNER.. BECAUSE IF PEOPLE THOUGHT HE WAS A "STUD", HE WOULDNT HAVE THE CHANCE TO TAKE THAT SHOT RIGHT?[/quote

thanks for taking sections of my post instead of the whole thing.

Lebron rarely gets the chance because he is double/tripled/quadruple teamed at the end of games. They will not let Lebron beat them but put it in the hands of one of the other scrubs on the Cavs team. Lebron is a STUD therefore he gets multiple players on him. Do you watch the games or just a view from Kobe's grundel? Cavs players are SO WIDE OPEN because the entire Detroit defense collapses on Lebron.

Kobe was not the stud Lebron was at the same point in his career. Kobe spent numerous games hurt/injured at or around Lebrons age.

Lebron will be the best player to ever play the game and NO WAY I WOULD trade Lebron for Kobe.

Not to mention Kobe is a CANCER in the locker room. He could not hold Jordans jock. You cant be the best player ever when you are such a cancer like Kobe.

So keep smokin that Kobe grundel buddy. :smoker2:

LeBron is outrageous but he turns the ball over too much still. Once he controls that, it's lights out.

Dan Patrick and Antoine Walker on ESPN radio this morning:

DP: "If you have the 1st pick and you can select any curren t NBA player. Who would you pick?

AW: "Kobe Bryant"

DP: "You would select Kobe Bryant over Lebron James and Dwayne Wade?"

AW: "Yes"

DP: "Eventhough he's much older than Lebron James?"

AW: "It doesn't matter"

DP: "So, is Kobe Bryant the best player in the league?"

AW: "Yes"

DP: "Really?"

AW: "Yes"

DP: "So who's your MVP?"

AW: "Shaq. Shaq is the most dominant player in the league and Kobe is the best player"

Even an NBA player agrees with me

He hasnt proven ANYTHING yet... it is WAY too early to make that assumption.. this guy doesnt play a lick of defense and is afraid to take the last shot.. how can a player with those qualities even be considered for top 3

he and his team play good team defense

there top 5 in NBA

Win or Lose this series with the Pistons, I now believe that Lebron James is the best player in the NBA. I think if they were to vote for MVP at the end of the season, not just the regular season, LBJ would win the the award. He totally dominates in all aspects of the game. He played all but 1:10 in the game tonight, and dropped 32 on a great team in Detroit whose defensive game plan is focused on him. Steve Nash and Kobe are good, but I believe LeBron does the most with the least, and his team is on the verge on beating the best team in the NBA.

kobefan,

you keep pointing out that the cavs have a much better supporting cast then the lakers.....

on the cavs three game win streak just now against the pistions.....Z and Gooden have been close to non-existant......murray is throwing up prayer after prayer and shooting like 30% from the field....snow is not an offensive threat at all.....he is carrying this team on his back and doing that by getting double and triple teamed all game long....we saw what kobe did a couple years ago when the pistons did that to him....and he had shaq with him....

either way you can't really judge who the better player is until both of their careers are done but at 21 there will never be a better player in the history of the NBA.

1.
game 3
gooden 5-11 12pts
big z 7-14 16 pts
pavlovic 5-8 13 pts

game 4
gooden 8-14 19 pts
gibson 4-7 21 pts (12 from the ft line)

the only game where james hasn't gotten a lot of support was in game 5 where he dropped 48. i don't get how anyone would think that kobe's supporting cast is better than lebron's, but whatever. if you truly believe that, go ahead. i don't think there's anything i can do to change your mind.

2.
i agree, at 21, james is statistically the best player to ever play. james is by far more physically gifted than kobe will ever be. i mean jesus look at kobe in his first 3 years. he's scrawny as hell. however, kobe already got his ring - far more impressive than any stat line given. sure shaq was always finals mvp but kobe no doubt was a big part of those wins. you can always speculate who could have been in kobe's spot because he was only getting 20ppg, but you know what? that isn't fact; it's merely speculation so it's not even worth trying to mention.

i'm a laker fan and because of all the flak that kobe gets, i wouldn't go out of my way to not give props to where its due. lebron is playing like the shit right now. even if it's only short-term for now, he's still dominating the game. if someone thinks he's the best in the game, i can't argue. i personally think kobe is the best still, but i see why someone may prefer lebron.

Lebron may not be the best yet

But if anyone watched last nights game they would all agree

That was one of the greatest 3 nba performances of all time.

Anyone who knows anything about ball knows this. To go into detroit after winning 2 straight and to eat that defence alive under the circumstances has never happened before.

He will be the greatest ever in my opinion its still early but thats the scary part!!!!! because its so early he has plenty of oppurtunities to do it again

I could argue for hours and hours but well make it simple

1. Tell Lebron to learn how to play defense.. he didnt even come close to making ALL-DEFENSIVE SECOND TEAM while kobe made first team

2. Lebron's jumper has NOTHING on kobe's.. The degree of dificulty on Lebron's shots really dont even come close to shots kobe makes, but that is pretty hard to prove statistically so well move on..

3. Like ricecooker said, LOOK at Lebron's team compared to Kobe's. He has a former all star in Ilgauskas, as well as two big scorers in Hughes and Flip Murray.. Hughes averaged 22 ppg in washington, while if some of you remember in the 03-04 season when Ray allen got injured Flip averaged 20+ points for the first stretch of the season until Allen got back.. Not to mention Drew gooden who averaged 11/8 compared to the pathetic kwame brown who struggled to average 7/6.. Not to mention two veteran point guards (snow, jones) that have been deep in the playoffs (at least the conference finals) compared to the inexperice of Smush Parker and Sasha Vujacic (who both have never been to the playoffs coming into this postseason)

4. Point 3 just proved that the cavs have much more talent at each position then the lakers not mentioning kobe vs lebron

5. So how is Lebron "MVP" and "the best player in the nba" when he has a unquestionably better supporting cast then Kobe? Everyone says that Lebron "makes his teamates better" but really when you look at it, the players that were around him had great season BEFORE this guy was even in the NBA, and they are not playing better now than they were then...

6. Kobe has 3 rings, Lebron has none... so until Lebron can have more rings than kobe, he hasnt proved anything, just like how people will not admit kobe is better than Jordan until Kobe has at least 6 rings.

7. One of the most important aspects of the game... Lebron is NOWHERE in crunch time.. those two shots he made against the wizards were complete defensive breakdowns as they let him catch the ball and make easy layups at the ends of games. e.g look at Miami's defense of VC at the end of game 5 when they denied him the ball... Lebron hasnt proved he can score clutch baskets under that type of D, Kobe has

That is why in my opinion Kobe is better than Lebron, not just because I am a Kobe fan... Some of you may agree, some of you may not... thats fine just wanted to get my opinion out

Did kobe do this stuff 3 years into the league??? he had shaq also, so how do dummies compare 2 players at 2 different stages in their career... and as good as you think kobe is... he would never win a championship without shaq!!! overratted

kobe is not overrated
that's just a fucking idiotic statement. the first championship run was insane. portland vs lakers game 7 was fucking HISTORIC.

at 18 kobe didn't have half the size or muscle lebron did. kobe didn't even play much for his first two years. can't compare the two.

as for never winning a championship without shaq, i don't think wade would have won without shaq, spurs wouldn't win without duncan, and detroit is the only team to win without a real superstar.

Shaq, the greatest center of all time??? you cant say that without giving consideration to kareem and wilt seriously......and the way the man shoots free throws is fricken disgusting........sure he is the most dominant center of our time but he is not the greatest.......i would say there are 4 centers better than him........1- Wilt, 2-Kareem, 3- Russell, 4-Olajuwon, 5-Oneal

don't forget my fav center of all time besides duncan...Patrick Ewing

i dont think kobe has ever had a teamate make 5 3's in 1 quarter in any game playoff or regular season.

this game proves lebron has a great supporting cast. and just cuz he has all these assists dont say kobe would never have as many assists cuz he is a hog..kobe will never have as many assists because his players cant make wideopen shots like this.
