He played with some great individual players but he never really played on these super great teams. Wade and LeBron didn’t really fit together well, and Wade was starting to break down by year 2 anyway. Love and Bosh basically become corner shooters. Kyrie really the only one who was an ideal fit, then he become psychotic lol

Duncan played on amazing teams throughout his whole career and put up nowhere near the numbers a GOAT level player does.

The difference between Brady and Duncan is people like Brady are always the centerpiece. How many of those teams was Duncan far and away the superior player in those finals runs? Though I sort of get the the argument in the sense that they both played for probably the best organizations in their respective sport. Duncan just wasn’t as important as Brady was to winning.

LeBron and Rodgers aren’t comparable because LeBron has gone to the finals 10 fucking times and won 4 rings, including 8 straight appearances. He didn’t have a ton of amazing regular seasons/horrible playoff flame outs. Those last couple years in Cleveland were the only real ones but he more than redeemed himself by proceeding to win 4 championships and make the final round 9 more times

Duncan averaged 19 and 11 for his career on 50.6% shooting

Great player on a great team. Doesn’t belong in individual GOAT conversations lol

Rodgers won a super bowl early on. Lebron made the finals once(lost). Had the Cavs as a #1 seed numerous times and lost.

He only won a championship when he ran away and played with Wade's Heat after Bosh joined.

The comparison is very easy actually.

Career averages aren't a great indicator. As normally the averages are low at the beginning and end of careers.

It's the prime years and championships that matter.

Yet LeBron has posted up amazing numbers consistently for 19 years

just got his second highest scoring average in his 19th season

Duncan averaged over 25 points once in his career, pretty early on . LeBron has done it 18 years in a row.

Of course the game is more than scoring but that kind of difference alone shows you that this isn’t even debatable lol

Yes. and if he keeps playing those numbers will diminish and they will drag down his career averages.

I don't really care about career numbers. In his prime Duncan was a 23 point 10 rebound a game player who was also the best defensive player on the court.

Is Lebron a freak of nature that hasn't diminished yet? Yes. If by this, then Duncan doesn't compare. Nobody does.

But based on prime Duncan could be argued as a better player. You had previously states this was "laughable"....i am simply stating it ain't.

A better argument would be something like Kobe vs Duncan

Saying Duncan > LeBron is 100% laughable

Manu and Parker aren't HOF without Duncan.

Davis, Irving, Wade, Bosh, Love....are all still HOF without James.

One had to run around to find championships. The other stayed in san antonio and won 5.

Hell if you are going by old school numbers Westbrick is the best to ever play. LOL

One had to leave one of the worst organizations in sports that he was drafted into; which is 100% what he should’ve done

Another was drafted into a great situation

I just find it funny you use the same logic against Duncan that you get so mad about when someone uses said logic on Brady.

Yes. Only question mark is Love. More so because he chose to go play with Lebron. Guy was a beast in Minny. Remember cleveland traded #1 overall pick for him.

Brady plays QB, the most important position in team sports. Duncan never had that value. Spurs played well when he didn’t play

Brady also traveled to a garbage franchise and brought them a title

It’s not the same despite them both being in great situations. Brady achieved more and was more important to the team/better invidually Not hard to decipher

You think Kyrie, Bosh, Davis are all locks for HOF with zero rings?

LOL. QB is the most important position in all of sports? It's by far the most important position in football.

In basketball they actually play both sides of the ball and not just offense. You can't be serious. LOL.

Yes. Brady means more to a football team then Jordan means to a basketball team. LOL. Unreal how bad your takes truly are...
