Kawhi won with far less
KD? much better on offense, sometimes unstoppable
The Big O

It's hard to argue the best of the best, with maybe four exceptions

MJ
TB12
Mo
Serena

So many variables to consider, much more than stats. I guarantee you LeBron's numbers are significantly different if he played in a more physical era. Offensive stats are inflated in the freedom of movement era

To win a title in 22 or 23, there are arguably 20 players better than Lebron

Kawhi played on a team that won a higher % of games when he benched/injured then when he actually played. The Raptors team he played with was very good -- won something like 70-75% when Kawhi didn't play/the following year when Kawhi left. Very well-constructed team with great defenders and shooters. I don't think stacking individual talent equates to the team actually being great - in a lot of cases it doesn't. The Warriors were 73-9 before Durant got there, and it's not like they had these amazing individual players aside from Curry. Draymond and Klay are obviously great players but they're not these MVP-level guys/they're not the type of guys that would be the lead dog on a great team. So maybe Kawhi had fewer of those super-star like individual guys, but Kawhi did benefit from playing with great teams.

Durant is a better shooter than LeBron (hell he's a better shooter than MJ was too). Durant is an all-time great player, but I wouldn't say he's "much better" on offense. Durant never had the floor game that LeBron had. He couldn't pass the ball like LeBron or create for others like LeBron has his entire career. When Durant is hot, yeah he's impossible to guard because of his shooting ability at that height. But LeBron's strength on offense has been his ability to see the floor/pass/create for others. Durant could also never drive the way LeBron could, which is part of the playmaking component obviously.

I still can't get over "recently crowned" applying to a team winning a championship 3 years prior...

and...Tim Duncan didn't deserve his MVPs there were better players in those seasons.

If you care so much about career stats. Then fine. LBJ and Karl Malone. ;)....That's how useless simply going off career stats can be...albeit...if Malone doesn't play in Jordan era he probably has 2 titles(b2b) and a much higher place in history. Those stockton, malone teams were stacked and would have a much more enviable place in history if Jordan hadn't put them in their place.

Yep, LeBitch wouldn't have won a single championship in the "Motor City Bad Boys" era.

Not one.

Air Jordan was always destined for greatness, but Isiah Thomas and the Pistons taught him and the Bulls how hard they had to compete to win championships.

Those series were outright wars.

Most were better without Brick.
A couple had better stats individually and had to obviously take lesser roles with LeBron on the court.

I don't think compiling stats on a bad team for 2-3 years makes you a surefire HOFer t

Fixed your post.
FZ, I'm not even sure he ranks in the top 10.

The beauty of someone tagging a player with the "all time" label is critics get to measure how that player would have fared in EVERY era. Someone can't counter with, "well, different game back then" argument.

Indeed, it was.

Hence, "greatest of all time" means... ALL TIME. Apples to oranges and mangos to pinnaples, or even ribeye to dog shit, it's all fair game.

I can also pretend Steph Curry belongs in the same conversation because he won MVPs draining three pointers from center court. LOL

These woke millenials I'm telling ya..

Doesn't rank in top 10, LOL. Go back to posting your political articles.

Still love you though Joe. :)

Clearly, he wouldn't have survived, let alone thrived in previous eras. That disqualifies him as "second greatest of all time".

Jordan would be even more dominant in today's game, which is scary.

Kareem, Wilt, Duncan, Russell, Larry, Magic.. It's a long list by the time you get to Sir Whines-a-lot.

Now that the most disappointing season in the last twenty years of team sports is over, Street Clothes (aka Anthony Davis) is mouthing off about how he and LeBron can still be winners. Let's see what old guys they add to supplement paying Westbrook $47 million. No one will want to coach the LeBrons either.

Westbrook won’t be on the team next year for what it’s worth

Not buying that the Hornets are interested though lol

Brick wouldn't get those easy drives back in the day. Today's game is wide open because of so many that can shoot a 3.
