I believe they are out of the running, but with the Bulls signing Boozer (outside of creating the freak trio + scrubs in Miami), it seems to me that the Bulls are the best option from a winning basketball standpoint. Rose, James, Deng, Boozer, Noah. Come on now. Where could he create a better starting 5?

Is it possible that Lebron made the announcement but still hasn't actually decided where yet? Could the Bulls have locked up Boozer for enticement?

I think him joining Miami would just be too weird.

I think he's deciding between Cleve, NY and Chicago.

Why? :think2: I don't think Boozer and the current cast of the Bulls is as enticing to King James as is DWade, Bosh, and "scrubs" (e.g., Beasley, etc.) as you put it.

BTW, Riley is still targeting a center ..... David Lee or Brendan Haywood. Don't underestimate Pat Riley.

There will be numerous "scrubs" who would die for a chance to play for a DWade-LeBronJames-Bosh trio at the league minimum to get a ring. Ray Allen? Perhaps.

I went from cleveland set in stone around the morning, to new york being a lock now. So with this pattern, he will be with the clippers tomorrow morning, and then sign with the nets at night.

incubus i hear what your saying if he wants to win miami would be right up there with the bulls + miami can bring a HOF down to coach. I really cant see him leaving clevland to play for a losing organiztion, the knicks roster is filled with losers and has a loser coach. pure business move if he goes to nyc nothing else.

An ESPN executive says LeBron James will announce his future NBA plans within the first 10 minutes of Thursday night’s hourlong broadcast.
ESPN says Gray and James will be in one location. A person familiar with the plans, however, tells The Associated Press the interview will take place at the Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich, Conn.
The broadcast also will include a long-form interview with ESPN personality Mike Wilbon and others via satellite from ESPN’s studios in Bristol, Conn.

@mikeplugh: So #LeBron announces in 1st 10 minutes of his show...not NYC=19+ million tuning out. He's either leaving or not smart about TV. You decide.

everybody knows the bulls are his best shot at winning. seems to me winning is not his top priority. he must assume he can make alot more money in the new york market over chicago. knicks+LBJ=4-5 seed in the east. bulls+LBJ=2nd chocie to win the title.

btw i almost threw up durnat 5 years 86mil and we pay boozer 5years 80.

bulls are out of it. after the boozer deal they would have to get real creative to sign Lebron to max money n stay under the cap. Them signing Boozer this early tells me they have given up on Lebron...not chasing him harder..

wrong.... Chicago has enough cap space to take on a max contract, and a source close to Boozer said he is going to reach out to James about joining him in Chicago.
Bulls were in a position to sign 2 max contracts.

If lebron cares about winning titles - he'll go to Miami or Chicago. If not - he'll choose NY or Cleveland.

maybe the information I am reading is wrong about the subject but what I am reading after they gave Boozer 80 million, it is possible for them to give Lebron max money but they would have to get really creative and its a long shot..

FWIW...the Bulls are 19-1 at wsex.
Cleveland and Miami are the frontrunners...seems like these odds are changing fast.

Lebron is going to Carmelo Anthony's wedding over the weekend so that is why he is near New York City and his mom has her house for sale in the Akron area so there is 2 things right out of the gate for you.I think King Loser is gone and not resigning with Cleveland as if he return here the team isnt that great around him and wont win a ring here with those scrubs and bums (AKA Antawn Jamison ).Also on the news today he had on trademark New York Yankees cap on running to his car leaving his camp today. He is going to the Knicks or Heat and the Darkhorse the Nets but he isnt coming back to the Cavs so we get to watch crappy basketball again here and all the Cleveland fans will be heading to the I 480 bridge to jump off tommorrow night.

who owns MSG stock??

Wall Street's bulls are betting that LeBron James ends up playing basketball in New York, not Chicago.Despite President Obama's hope that the NBA free agent will leave his native Ohio for the Windy City, traders are betting that the superstar will announce on Thursday that he's leaving the Cleveland Cavaliers to play for the New York Knicks.
Shares in Madison Square Garden Inc., the owners of the Knicks, jumped $1.30, or 6.4 percent, to close at $21.57 Wednesday, adding 3 cents in extended trading. Volume was up dramatically at 1.7 million trades, more than five times the daily average of 311,000.

It was originally reported at 80 million, but Gar Forman (Bulls GM) just confirmed it was less. How much less, I don't know.
