I don't think Chicago was ever as big a chance as so many believed.

LeBron knew there would be far too much pressure playing there in Michael's shadow.....

@jadande: Boozer to Bulls is "done deal"

Report: Boozer set to ink deal with Bulls Carlos Boozer - F - UTA - Jul. 7 ESPN's Ric Bucher reports that Carlos Boozer has agreed to a deal with the Bulls.
According to Bucher, Boozer will sign for five years and $80 million. It remains to be seen whether this will be the big move that lures LeBron James to Chicago. Either way, the Bulls just upgraded their frontcourt dramatically.

A source with knowledge confirms that both Randy Mims and Maverick Carter are in fact in New York. No word about scheduled meetings however…

^^^really think that is the biggest tell.

one more thing to add to this lol. think about how much the East just improved. You now have have Wade n Bosh in Miami, Boozer with the Bulls, still Boston and Orlando and Atlanta. you could go as far as saying the East is starting to get stacked.

Lebron going to face that competition with the starting 5 he already failed with or with possibly Melo and Amare? or is he going to join Miami (personally I dont think so cause he wont be the top dog)

As sports fans I'm not sure how anyone can't be excited about all of this.

LeBron is the biggest free agent signing since Shaq from Orlando to LA....

Perhaps.

But how about these 2 rumors from allegedly "credible" sources? This is posted today, Wednesday, from one of the links I gave:

Two rumors are quickly circulating. One is that LeBron is house shopping in Miami. It is being reported that an offer has been put down on a 40 million dollar home in Coral Gables. The second rumor, is that he will be flying to a meeting with Riley, Wade, and Bosh tonight.

This "second rumor," if substantiated, would be a "tell all," don't you think?:think2:

Like I said before, I really believe this is now a 2 team race for LeBron. Miami Heat and the NY Knicks. The suspense is KILLING me! :lolBIG:

Location Confirmed

By Tommy Dee on Jul 07, 2010, 5:21 pm
Via source:
taking place at the Boys and Girls Club in Greenwich at 9pm tomorrow night. ESPN is aware that word has leaked about the locale and will have ample security

so Lebron is leaving his basketball camp in Cleveland...flying to CT to hold a one hour event live on ESPN just to announce he is staying in Cleveland? what sense does that make? the writing is all over the wall now..... :dancefool

This is crazy stuff. I just don't see Lebron with the Heat. That would be insane if Bosh, Wade and James were in the same team.

Totally agree, Hache man!

I'm originally from Miami, so I expect that your Orlando Magic and my Heat will have some really AWESOME games against each other. I'm looking forward to seeing this coming season's bitter in-state rivalry! :toast:

Stranger shit has happened. I never expected the Heat to get Shaq when they did. Riley has been known to orchestrate shit like this with the Heat (Shaq, Alonzo Mourning, etc.)

The suspense and intrigue is ridiculous! :lolBIG:

you pretty much know cleveland is done. There are no big names free agents left that would make lebron want to stay there. The team may win in the regular season, but if you cant get anywhere in the post season does it really matter. Nobody is left to make lebron think cleveland can get over the hurdle they have been hitting. bosh, wade, boozer, amare are all gone. I dont think david lee is going to make lebron run back to cleveland. So unless a big trade is being hidden for say a chris paul or something, lebron is packing up because nobody wanted to come to cleveland

Maybe he is going to fool everyone and choose the Nets. The guy is tight with JayZ, he's got an owner w/deep pockets, they'll be in Brooklyn in a couple of years, they have some young talent . . .

I just read the press conference is tomorrow night. For some reason I thought it was 9am. I can't wait that long.

I believe they are out of the running, but with the Bulls signing Boozer (outside of creating the freak trio + scrubs in Miami), it seems to me that the Bulls are the best option from a winning basketball standpoint. Rose, James, Deng, Boozer, Noah. Come on now. Where could he create a better starting 5?

Is it possible that Lebron made the announcement but still hasn't actually decided where yet? Could the Bulls have locked up Boozer for enticement?

I think him joining Miami would just be too weird.

I think he's deciding between Cleve, NY and Chicago.

everybody knows the bulls are his best shot at winning. seems to me winning is not his top priority. he must assume he can make alot more money in the new york market over chicago. knicks+LBJ=4-5 seed in the east. bulls+LBJ=2nd chocie to win the title.

btw i almost threw up durnat 5 years 86mil and we pay boozer 5years 80.

The more I think about it, the more I think that where the announcement is going to be made doesn't necessarily mean it's the Knicks, but may have more to do with the fact that LeBron IS NOT CHOOSING CLEVELAND and they want to get him the hell out of that area for safety reasons when his decision is given. It could still be a team other than the Knicks and maybe Miami, although I don't think LeBron's ego will allow his to share the spotlight with Wade...
