If he's throwing a smokescreen and playing with peoples heads by having the announcement outside of NY and then says he's staying with Chicago, I never want to hear anyone say again that he's not all about himself and craves the attention...

Via Yahoo:
Team LeBron has known all along it was going to do this, and the cushy, protective relationship with that television network culminates with a basketball player commandeering his own coverage on his own terms. Now James and his buddies spoon out misdirection plays on his possible destination – feeding everyone for days and weeks that the Knicks were dead, only to say now, “Well…who knows?” – to build back drama for the infomercial.

mets u might be right LBJ might be a knick. I will eat my crow i was wrong. i guess i gave the guy to much credit i thought he wanted to win. LBJ is a stud and will make the knicks alot better everybody knows that, but what everybody doesnt know is the knicks are years away from winning. it will be atleast 3years before the knicks are taking as serious title contenders. what a bad way to leave clevland quitting in his last playoff series and letting them hang out to dry while he did his whole puplicity stunt.

on the other hand i think LBJ might be able to handle amare and keep him on the right path. with LBJ that signing is not so bad

you better believe if Lebron signs with the Knicks, Melo is coming next year as well..I dont think a team with Lebron Melo Amare n Gallinari are years away from a title. they would be instant favorites to win the east

The problem is melo might sign an extension with the Nugs because he's afraid of the 2011 lockout

yea him too. this is going to sound laughable but the Knicks will not be as far away as every one thinks if they sign Lebron. heres the laughable part. Eddy Curry is going to be playing in a contract year and supposedly is in the best shape of his life. Starting 5 of Douglas Gallinari Lebron Amare and Curry is not to bad. Especially if Curry can figure out and play up to the potential he actually has.

and once Currys huge contract comes off the books next year...well anything is possible...another max free agent.

thats why I am sold on him coming here. long term it just makes way to much sense. He hasnt won a title yet in Cleveland and hes going to go back to the same starting 5 and struggle to try and win a title again? when he could possibly be the richest man in sports playing for the Knicks (been rumblings his people can invest in MSG/Cablevision stock and get paid that way too) and play with Amare n Melo in the worlds greatest sports arena......how could he turn that down?

um his team did lead the league in the regular season each of the last 2 seasons in wins. i realize thats regular season but now they have gotten rid of the inept coach they once had as well. i do think bosh to miami might be the deathblow though, as lebron seemed pretty set on him playing in cleveland with him.

actually, what im rooting for now, is him to retire from the nba tomorrow night, and go straight into holywood and become a producer, because this soap opera is far more dramatic then anything i have ever seen on tv in a good while. would be a perfectly ironic ending.

A source with knowledge confirms that both Randy Mims and Maverick Carter(Lebrons head people in his camp) are in fact in New York. No word about scheduled meetings however…

Holy shit! I have breaking news. My friend's uncle's cousin's sister works in South Beach. Well she says Lebron came there a few weeks ago to buy something. She asked him if he was gonna be signing with the Heat and he smiled and winked at her.

That's all the confirmation I need.

$20000 on Lebron to Miami.

If you guys don't bet this now.....well I just feel sorry for you.

he could be using the Knicks as a huge smoke screen. (god I hope not) you would think after Wade and Bosh signed every one just kinda ruled them out and forgot about the Heat. watch em go there. long shot but who knows with the stunts this guy is pulling.

That's what I'm starting to think. Look at the way DWade was using the Bulls as a "smokescreen." I wouldn't put it past LeBron, would you? :think2:

Riley has been known to pull all sorts of these outragious stunts, and securing Wade (now with Bosh) make it very enticing for the King.

Personally, I think it will be either the Knicks or Heat. Just my take.

Rumor also has it that DWade and Bosh will be appearing at the end of LeBron's 1 hour ESPN special. What for, unless the King signs with the Heat? :think2:
