I am admittedly enjoying the theme of this here thread

I too am enjoying this. Now get your arse back in here. You can stop posting after the baseball season ends. So get that tail out from between your legs and face the music.

The Tampa Bay Rays are 6-2 (75%) vs. the New York Yankees on the road in 2021

Hey 5T speaking of road will you be going to Montreal next summer (June-Aug 2022) to watch the Rays play in their likely future home? Or keep it to a shorter distance and attend Marlin games in Miami with the other 5k fans? Just wondering. Support Florida baseball in season! Or just remain as the grapefruit league when fans from the North flock to escape chilly temps to watch their respective teams in warm weather.

Montreal would support the Rays, just as they did the Expos lol.

People will come out to watch them play Toronto, NY and LA.

Versus KC.....crickets.

According to reports they're ready for baseball again and would welcome a NL team, Jays are huge and supported by all of Canada. How many times in history does a city lose a baseball team and then regain one. Quite a bit.

Miss the Expos. Not As much as the beloved Canadian Nordiques of Quebec though

No it should be Cashman not Boone. But he's done a great job of sucking up to Hal Steinbrenner so he'll be safe.

This team overachieved

They were NOT as good as their record. Boone did a nice job squeezing the most out of it

Right . Because you said this .

Missed by just this much .

Agreed. After both additions they are an 86-win non-playoff team, instead of of an 81-win non-playoff team.

Both

Cashman spends money and fails more often than not. I think he's a joke

Boone didn't get the most out of his players, I think he pushes all the wrong buttons. Then again, might be hard to motivate all the highly compensated primadonnas Cashman assembled

I mean they finished with just a +42 run differential. That's very low for a team that won 92 games. They figured out a way to win a lot of close games, which is probably due to a combination of good luck and good managing.

For perspective, the Blue Jays finished with a run differential of +183.

The roster made by Cashman since 2020 has been poor. He's been late to making adjustments and the team was too right handed hitting until he acquired Rizzo and Gallo. It still is based on too many sluggers and devoid of speed and up the middle defense (CF,SS and C) Cashman the biggest culprit by far. However because his tongue is laced with Hal S. dingle berries he'll survive; hope I'm wrong and he gets canned. Old man Steinbrenner would have fired him long ago.
