If I may add: par cook the noodles for 5 minutes tops! in salted boiling water ahead of time. This will make life alot easier for you when assembling. They will be easier to handle and not fall apart. Drain the noodles in a colander and lay them out on your counter top to cool off.

Make sure you drain off excess water out of the ricotta by tipping the container upside down if a colander for atleast 30 minutes.

Make sure you lightly sauce the bottom of your baking dish.

Make sure you make extra sauce on the side... I love sauce on the side for Lasagna.

A typical pan of Lasagna should bake for approx 1-2 hours at 325 degrees.

Were going with my recipe, which to make it easier on him...Will go with the No-Cook Noodles

just got home with everything.....blender, pan, all that stuff.....

took me forever to find the ricotta cheese, i was thinking it was another form of the shredded stuff, had to ask this lady who was doing her own shopping.....she actually left her cart and went and got it for me:103631605

so i'm ready to go BAS (although they only had one kind of noodle, and i don't think they're no cook)

You might as well be speaking Italian....In this part of the country, I have to go to Central Market to get cans of San Marzano's....and pay about $5.50 a can! No ONE....and I mean NO ONE has even HEARD of San Marzano's down here....it's awful...I had to explain to the guy at the cheese counter to just 'sell me the curd, and I'll make it', because he had no clue what i meant by 'fresh mozz'...then he got all uppity and said, "It takes years of practice to learn to make mozzarella.".....'just sell me the curd, dickhead"
And I have to go to Central Market for just about everything, and not even THEY have Yuengling...

san marzano Brand would have been a top choice for me as well, but didn't think they would have them in Ark.

Believe it or not, I still perfer Red Pack.

now that ya'll mentioned it the brand of tomatoes and paste i grabbed were contadina.....the packaging had a bit more of an italian look to them

hope this doesn't mess it up, but i just noticed the paste is with roasted garlic (in tiny print near the bottom, thought i was grabbing regular paste)....and the whole tomatoes are "roma" style, whatever that means......
