Respectfully, a couple in here have no clue what they're talking about. Maybe those should look at the history of the selection committee and then comment.

Compare resumes. Washington’s to OSU. It’s a debate for sure, but if Washington loses a close game to Oregon. Their resume stacks up better.

now if they get blown out. Then I agree, OSU gets the nod.

Talking about the committee and their history, there is simply no way the committee leaves out Florida state. They allowed in Ohio state with a 3rd stringer a few years back. They won’t leave out Florida state if they win Saturday

The only possible scenario would be:

Texas losing
Oregon losing
Alabama losing
Florida state losing

this weekend.

that would put Michigan, Washington, Georgia all clearly in and the committee having to chose between 1 loss Florida state and 1 loss Ohio state. That would be the only way you’d be able to put them in.
OSU was ranked higher than Wash and FSU before their narrow loss to Michigan. If they both have 1 loss, OSU will again be ahead of FSU. YOU make no sense. I get it, you don't like OSU

They were pushed out of the top 4 after a win due to losing their QB. You think a win against a 2 loss Louisville is really going to help them? LOL. Ooooook. It doesn't matter if they win their conf championship game.

I actually have no like or dislike for OSU.

if Florida state loses, they are gone. Everyone know this.

Washington turns into a debate. Depending on how the game plays out Saturday.

they were pushed out of the top 4 because Washington won on the road at top 15 Oregon state. Washington was rewarded.

there were 5 undefeated power 5 teams. They were pushed to 5th as they should be. They didn’t get pushed lower than 1 loss teams and won’t be. Now there are only 4 undefeated and they’ll land squarely inside of the top 4 and Stay there until they lose

FSU is gone no matter what. The committee won't put them in with no QB.

Louisville is going to beat FSU so that won't even matter.

But if FSU wins and is 13-0 they are in! I don't care if they dropped down a spot with the QB issue. If the backup QB guides them to a ACC championship, they are in.

they won’t be pushed out by a 1 loss team that didn’t play on championship weekend, if they win against Louisville. And they’ll be ranked at least 2 spots ahead of Ohio state this week.
Quit looking at the AP poll. Lol. It's irrelevant

Not looking at the AP. Looking at the CFB ranking and using plain logic to know how it’ll play out tonight .

Ohio state was let it with one loss and a 3rd qb no one knew about. The committee isn’t keeping out an undefeated Florida state.

FSU only played the schedule that was in front of them. If they go 13-0 and don't get in then Ohio St. isn't getting in period! No 1 loss Ohio St team is getting in over a 13-0 FSU team.

Ohio St. was lucky to beat ND. They didn't really beat up PSU and all of their other wins were against lesser competition. They really don't deserve to be in.......and I'm holding a National Championship ticket on them!

Ohio St has one a slim chance and that's if UGA wins, OK St wins, Louisville wins and Oregon wins.

LOL. I can say Michigan was lucky to beat Ohio State at home. The difference in that game was 1 OSU turnover inside their own 10 yard line which gifted Michigan 7 points. We can argue this all day.

But Michigan did win! If Ohio St. Won I would say the same thing about Michigan. The big 10 doesn't deserve 2 teams.

The SEC is the only conference that ever deserves 2 teams and I always hated that but it's the best conference. Alabama will lose to UGA and be left out and Alabama would blowout Michigan, Ohio St, Oregon, Washington, FSU, and probably Texas at this point in the season!

To take it a step farther. I actually think the committee will move OSU down farther than 6 tonight. I think they land at 7. Texas should move ahead of OSU, and Alabama is debatable

but like others have said. The osu resume doesn’t add up this year. They’ve beaten 2 ranked teams. None currently in the top 10.

All the other contenders: Oregon, Alabama, Washington. And Texas have better wins, and none have a bad loss or will have a bad loss by years end.

even Florida state will have 3 ranked wins by years end if they win out.

there just isn’t any justification for Ohio state getting in over any of the above teams. Playing Michigan close doesn’t cut it. Texas played Oklahoma close, Alabama plays Texas close, Oregon played Washington close. It can all be said.

you have to be clearly better than everyone else is your not a conference champion. Ohio state isn’t that this year, and won’t be without some serious chaos.

The problem regarding your Washington/Ohio State logic is you are not taking into account other metrics and how they’ve actually won

Washington has basically struggled for half a season. The committee doesn’t overlook that. And past history indicates this as well.

The fact that they had Ohio State at #1 at one point and had Washington behind even Florida State matters

I get your point about Washington beating the only team it lost to, but Ohio State beats Washington in a lot of metrics the committee considers even with one less data point

The “eye test” also does have some weight, believe it or not

If you want the 4 best teams.

UGA
Alabama
Michigan
Texas.

But when other teams finish 13-0 you're not getting the 4 best teams! It's a flawed system thankfully changing soon.

Georgia is NOT automatically in with a loss against Bama. It would be a toss up between Ga and OSU depending on what the other top teams do
