Dub is actually up with Cigar and will get a nice 1900 when he is free! However he is down 6k with another out which I can't cover for him unless he gets me access to his accounts. I am working on that since he is honorable and does not want to wait 6 months to sette a debt. I will be visiting him this week and hopefuy get things taken care of. Dub is no stiff but is certainy in deep shit with the long arm of the law currently. Cocaine is a hell of a drug. What happenned is the the dealer ran from Dub's car and left his bag of goodies there and he got away. He's going to kill me for posting this but its better that people speculating the worst.

I think the funniest thing of all of this crap is Journeyman has been passing out pictures of some roided out little 5'5" dude claiming it is him.

We may not post very often, but we watch pretty closely and we often compare notes to figure out whose posts to read (maybe 10%) and whose posts to skip, to save ourselves time.
This may not mean much coming from a lurker, but believe me when I tell you that you are extremely well respected and will be sorely missed by many bright people. On the other hand, it seems as if you're feeling the call of your namesake, so I wish you nothing but success and happiness in the future.

On a side note, there are 3 sides to every story, your side, his side, and the truth.
Wow...it's like you pried my brain open and extracted my very thoughts on this entire subject, particularly about the Rx and the way it does business. The business of Ace-Ace, mod ghosts, etc...it is true, unfortunately, some poor souls just don't know they are getting taken.
But that is their problem. And you know what, you hit the nail on the head, it's a freakin' business, so the Rx has a right to run it any way they like, and we have the choice if we want to participate.
I really like and respect all of the mods here....not sure why they do it, but who am I to question their motivation. I don't particularly care for the editing and deleting of posts, but again, this is a business, and until some other source of revenue is generated, you gotta do what you can to stay afloat. That is just reality folks.
I've never really spent much time across the street until this weekend's drama, I never realized how many of the old Rxers are over there, many I wish were still posting here. However, this is my home, and if and when this ship sinks, I'm riding the bitch to the bottom.
As much as J-man likes to think he was the straw that stirred the drink, the Rx just might survive without him.

Maybe I am a naive one, betting against choptalk for $500, twice. I thought the guy was a good guy, as he is..I think. He paid up twice and I would have returned the favor just as quickly.
Point is, we are all behind keyboards and a screen, combined with being compulsive gamblers(some).. We try to chameleon ourself into people we are not or who we want to be, ect.
Sad to hear about Jman's problems as well as Dub's mishap's.
Being one of the youngest on the site, yet being here for a while..It kind of scares me to think what gambling can do to a good person.
I think Jman's Problem goes a lot deeper than the naked eye can see, right or wrong this shit is fucked up, to say the least.
This is a vicious business to be in, where the dollar seems to be more valuable than the everyday person, throw it on a parlay and hope for more, only to get depressed and digging deeper and deeper.
This is entertainment for most, a mystery for some and a wake up call for a few.

I enjoyed chatting with Journeyman and exchanging ideas with him...enjoyed his countless MLB trivia threads and baseball info in general...but it is time for JMAN to put his toys away and get his life in order...seems to me he has serious issues and deamons to take care of and I really am rooting for him to get his act together and tackle his problems like a man...I.m sure we haven't heard the last of him and I look forward to chatting with him in the future...Life goes on for all of us, I've learned that all of us all expandable in our current situations if we are to have a mishap...It is how we rebound and try to make ourselves better from our mistakes that make us better human beings...Life is really short and I don't get cheated down here in Costa Rica living life each day as it comes..just my 2 cents....
