don't know much about the situation but imo the moral of the story is..... don't bet with people you don't think you can absolutely trust one way or the other. Why do guys make bets with each other here when you can just use a sportsbook?

I completely understand what you're saying.

I'm not sure how to reassure you, as that would mean making promises on others' behalf, but I can say that this is the first time I've seen such a thing, and I'm nearly certain the person in question was never a poster at the Rx prior to this happening.

But it's nonetheless a sad thing that our posters might be hesitant to trust us as a group and as individuals. Hopefully things will settle back to normal soon enough, emotionally as much as anything.

that's one thing that's always bothered me, if you don't like the fcuking line find another out or bet the other side. if you don't like the teazer rules find another out, when you bet with a book, any book, be it offshore, onshore, whereever you are betting their lines and their rules! know that shit going in and you'll not have to "look" for a way out of paying.

If the local you are playing with uses teaser rules that 95% don't use then he should let you know specifically up front.

WTF, i never make a bet regardless of whom it's with without knowing "their" rules, i am after all betting with them aren't i? the onus is squarely on the player to know the rules beforehand, not after he's over a number and looking for a way out.

The Rx.com is doing just fine, we made a decision a long time ago to avoid this kind of drama a much as possible.

The very sad part it how much vitriolic hatred comes out when these things happen. The bottom line is there is little difference between the posters at any of these sites. We are all guys (mostly) that enjoy sports and making a wager on a game occasionally but you would think there has been some sort of actual crime or bodily harm being perpetrated against one another. Why hate and try to hurt one another?

Something I try to remember every morning is to try to work on a list of all the various persons I have harmed in my life and try to stay willing to make amends to all of them somehow. Not an easy thing to do but you have to try to remain true to yourself. Once in a while I am able to make some amends and that is what keeps me sane and able to say no to my demons.

Teaser rules

The rules are CLEARLY posted at the pay per head call center the local had him using. Only a blind man could miss them. I have a link to the call center and checked myself.

From the website:

Teasers
This is a wager in which 2 to 7 teams are selected together in one wager with an adjusted point spread. In a teaser you can add points to the sides or mix both sides and totals adding or subtracting to the totals. If one selection loses the teaser is considered a loss.
Example:
2 team teaser 7pts for $100
Oilers -4 +7 pts = the teased line is now +3
Dolphins -3 +7 pts = the teased line is now +4
The payout for a 2 team 7 point teaser is 10/13 In this case you will lay $130 to win $100.

When you got a teaser bettor you don't want to lose him by having him get pissed off when he does tie. Especially when you know you are beating players with the tie rule. The onus is partially on the local when he has players on credit because he has to collect. If I was the local, I would tell anyone on credit betting teasers just to avoid hassels. Most wouldn't care anyway. And the ones that do care will give you a problem if it happens.

finally. bring back roach because what he posted was to get banned was 100% accurate. how some posters on this forum adored jman made you wonder wth. now we all get to see the real journeyman...not that i had any doubts...but for the fan club, this shit makes that 'flyer scam' story all the more plausible.
