Spoke with Fishhead re: Boston pick. The Yank line-up does and should put the fear of God into you. But the Sox at home at a decent dog price with Wakefield going against the Yanks gives us more than decent probability. Nothing a slugger hates more than a fluttering butterfly. This then is an agreed to FISHHEAD JONES play.

We realize that until we actually get our a$$ over to Selmons, we're kinda crowding you when we try and shove our way into the back seat of the cab, like Peter Falk in the chase scene at the end of It's a Mad, Mad, Mad World, but we also plunked a unit on Bosox, so this would be the 2nd TIT Play (Tampabay Insiders Trio) this season.

GL To Us As I pack a bowl in honor of the Knuckleball God - Flutter.

That's cool barman no degenerates rambling on in a gambling forum have ever influenced the outcome of a major league baseball game as of yet I'm quite sure. You got the Yanks down by four with 2 or 3 innings to go ain't no problem. But we sort of have seen these things take a turn every now and then. Not that that could happen tonight.

Just got up and noticed that Fishhead has wisely chosen the Devil Rays and Victor Zambrano today. I had grabbed this one on the overnights as soon as I saw it last night. So here you have a FISHHEAD JONES agreed to play.

Sounds good......please note, I never try to look at MR JONES plays before I make my selections for the day.

When we agree on a game, at least from my end, it 100% completly coincidental.

As JONES points out, these shared agreed upon plays have hit at an alarming rate of success.

Having said, proceed with caution and bet with your head, not over it.

We're riding in the trunk of the FISH/JONES Shared Play sportscar, thus creating the self-glossed TIT Plays (2-0 to date)...but will also add that we don't look at anyone's choices until we've created a list of solid candidates....And yep, Always Protect Your Unit

Too clarify what Fish said, I do look at his [and a lot of others']plays in the morning as most of mine are made on the overnights before I turn in. I usually turn in having a couple of lean to's and games I'm still looking for a better price on.

I have enough respect for the Fish, that I will take a closer look at most if not all of his games in the morning. But I'm just as likely to reject his play as I am to make it mine also. I rejected his yesterday and he won with it. Somewhere though I think I said it would have been my third choice yesterday but I only made two. I know I told him that on the phone.

And while the Boston play never appeared in his thread we both liked it a lot.

GL and proceed with caution..

Adding:

Philadelphia -1.5 +104 [Pinny]

Haven't even checked Expos Runs scored or batting average for a few days now. Both extremely pathetic and April 2003 Tiger like. 2-8 last ten. L5 in a row. Going up against Millwood. Millwood is consistent and 13-6 3.37 lifetime Montreal doesn't hurt. So who do we face John Patterson that's who. We all know him real good don't we? Last years ERA was 6.05 followed up with a 5.50 this spring. Can't risk the unit on the absurd straight Philly win price though. This is afterall baseball where even Patterson can pitch a gem. No way you say? Everything looks great here right.

Well not so fast my friends. A little catch here.. Mr. Patterson went out and pitched a 7 inning 2 hitter walking only one in his only start this season. UGH...but we believe strongly in the reversion to the mean norm or whatever principle here. This is my dare for Patterson to do it again. If he does I will accept my fate with no bitching.

PS. Yesterday I snuck an under in on this game but is was just before game time and I didn't get a chance to post it in my thread. So it goes undocumented. I won't do that today because I see signs of life from Philly. Won 2 in a row and Patterson will not do 2 in a row. Hate the -1.5. It is generally a fools bet. But in this spot I don't. And the more I write the more crow I'll have for dinner if this doesn't come in.

GL and be careful whether you play me fade me or disregard me.

Saturday: 1-2 -1.01
YTD: 25-16 +15.97

Started the season on opening night Sunday [2 weeks ago] and have had 14 consecutive non-losing days. Well I ain't Jack Price, but it was a pretty good run nevertheless. Actually began feeling pressure as this streak continued and also started becoming a bit superstitious. I've got one pick from the overnights and might have one for the Sunday night game but there will be nothing else tommorrow. Time to refocus!!!

TEAMJONES goes

in Martinsville Sunday. Entering the afternoon in 3rd place in the point standings and with a good qualifying effort on Friday; the team will attempt to wrest 2nd place in our Nascar contest from none other than TEAMFISHHEAD.

Sunday:

Detroit +141 [5Dimes]

Lost last time out with Bonderman but the pen had to blow a big lead to do it. Can't imagine +141. Good value here IMO. But always proceed with caution. GL.

NO PLAYS TODAY!!!

There is what most feel is a cliche in baseball. "I'm seeing the ball good" or the exact opposite of that. Trust me it may sound like a cliche but it is a solid irrefutable truism; like being and non-being as such...two entirely different concepts. The first whether real or just deception pyschologically sold to your senses can lead to hot streaks and conversely the latter to horrid batting slumps.

It's probably even more true in what we do here. I have not seen the plays well the last few days. I have over analyzed....possibly under some pressure of keeping my streak going. I pulled the trigger when I just didn't feel quite right. And I've second guessed myself out of at least two winning plays....the two good value home dog plays in Atlanta. Finally, I played the opposite of what beat me in Anaheim Saturday night at about two minutes before game time when I couldn't make a decision on it all day long. What offers further proof that it is not a case of simply bad breaks is that we have not had bad beats here. We have had bad plays.

Early on they seemingly jumped out at me within several minutes. No excuses here...but it ain't happening just now. I need to go over the fundamentals again. There are early returns... numbers to take into account now in addition to our basic home dog play approach. I have found in years past it gets tougher right about now and units can be lost in chunks. There are more variables at play now. So I'm going to take a seat on the pine for at least a day or two. BUT WILL BE BACK SOON!!! Just as soon as I look at the overnights and I again "am seeing them good," I'll be back.

Tonight I can wish ALL of you GL.

I know what you mean. My best plays are intuitively obvious. When I get my mind involved, I second guess myself and lose money.

Best of luck for a great season

Thanks General so do I.

Adding:
Texas/Anaheim O9.5 -105 [Pinnacle]

Last night I wanted to play Rodgers in this spot but didn't. Maybe should have at the numbers available then. Ortiz has been horrible. WHIP is horrible. Percival not untracked at all. And you got the Texas bats. Plus Angels showing a low BA against lefthanders recently. But the last two southpaws were Mulder and Zito and not Rodgers.

And then we see that Rodgers over the last 3 years in Anaheim is 1-3 9.47. Now add Vlade too. His outings have been decent so far. Maybe too decent based on past form. Whatever breeze there will be should be blowing out to left. I look for a lot of runs and if I wasn't playing the Over, I would play Texas and may yet. GL tonight guys. I need to get untracked.
